Welcome to the site of the 2006 McDonough Dawgs. We are a competitive 9U baseball team out of Richard Craig Park in McDonough, GA. We are looking forward to the incredible competition this year at MYA, as well as the great teams that we will be facing in our tournament schedule around the state and the country.  AABC COACH AND PLAYER OF THE YEAR
April 15, 2006 - MYA Vice President and Baseball Director Dwane Williams presents the 2005 AABC Player of the Year to Nile Ball. Dwane also presented the 2005 Coach of the Year award to Randy Lee.
Congratulations to both of you for this outstanding accomplishment. The entire DAWGS family is very proud of you both and thanks you for your extraordinary efforts.
 GOVERNOR PERDUE MADE HONORARY DAWG
March 15, 2006 - The Dawgs made their visit to the capitol and met Governor Sonny Perdue. The governor proudly wore his new Dawgs hat.
The Dawgs were honored as World Series Champions by the House of Representatives, as well. It was a very exciting day and quite an honor. Thank you to Representative Steve Davis for giving our boys a day that they will remember forever. Thanks also to Mike Crawford and former Mayor Richard Craig. You have supported this team and our baseball community and we greatly appreciate it. We enjoyed spending the day with you guys!
 DAWGS GOLF TOURNAMENT HELD
March 16, 2006 - The Dawgs held their second annual golf tournament this week at Cottonfields golf course in McDonough. There was a great turnout and we had a beautiful day for golf. Thank you very much to all who came out to support our team. Proceeds will go toward our uniforms, this year's tournament schedule, and our trip to the AABC 9U World Series in Oklahoma City, OK. 2006 MYA PRE-SEASON AABC STATE QUALIFIER CHAMPIONS
March 12, 2006 - The Dawgs started the season where they ended last year...as champions. This time as the MYA AABC State Qualifier Tournament Champions. They completed the tournament 4-0 and took home the trophy.
The rust was quick to come off as these boys saw their first live action in many months. The new challanges of 9-10 baseball are exciting to watch as this team continues to improve with each situation faced.
Every team member contributed throughout the tournament, as each put the weight on their shoulders at one time or another. Great way to start the season, guys! Let's
keep rolling!
