AEFL Mission Statement
The AEFL is a new brand of minor league football with its own unique style. 8 man football creates more space, which makes the game faster with plenty of scoring opportunities.

Our goal is to give adults a chance to continue playing full contact football and create an opportunity to be recognized by the next level of football. None of the AEFL players are paid so they do not lose their college eligibility. We encourage all our fans and players to support the communities and sponsors of each team in the AEFL.
Excitement is our standard!

ABOUT THE LEAGUE
The American Eightman Football League was established in the fall of 2000. The AEFL was established after teams broke off from another league. In the first 2 seasons the league played games in the neighborhood parks of Dallas. In the fall of 2001 the league began playing games in a stadium and started to build towards the future. After the 2003 season the league shut down for 3 years and a search began for new owners. In 2007 the league was brought back under new ownership and they are taking the league into a new and more improved direction. Each team is now required to wear professional style uniforms and the league plays their games on field turf at H.E.B.'s Pennington Stadium. There is currently only one team remaining from the inaugural season in 2000, the Dallas Knights but many of the team owners and players are still in the league and have started new teams.
