 Meeting called to order at 6:11 PM

1.0            Approval of Minutes from last meeting

Minutes to be approved at May meeting

2.0            Treasurer’s Report

$13 000 + $8 000 – some March ice time to be paid, all team money has been paid out

Why do we have more money at the end of this season- only one ice time per team

-less out of town refs

-less rounds of playdowns

-didn’t subsidize power skating

3.0            New Business

Bruce Campbell would like to address distribution of ice time and early try outs he has asked to be put on the May agenda for 5-10 minutes.

Jamie Payne from the SR arena would like a letter from AMHA intentions regarding September ice.

Respect in sport will be made mandatory for at least one parent per household for the 2013/14 season

Respect in Sport e-mail was sent out regarding what it will look like for next season.

Suggestion to have speaker during try-outs or pre-skate, will also be offered online for a fee. AMHA will cover registration costs for those who attend the session.

A committee will be set up to organize this

Clint Carleton is bring forth questions from the House league

House league felt to be second rate to rep program

-house league players must sign up earlier

-volunteers are needed to coach

What is the future of AMHA houseleague?  Interlock, coaches?

Ice times changes, referees not showing up -

Practices on same nights different rinks?  Problem?

-Tuesday nights we are in all 3 arenas- Gator will try to accommodate Jr. Sr.

-coach needed to be accommodated

-Gator is available to answer questions

Recruitment- flyers into schools

Huntsville house league?  Are our players able to play in their area?  President of Huntsville Minor Hockey will get back to Jamey about AMHA players playing in Huntsville.

Early try outs- South River may keep their ice in throughout September. August – Sunday mornings and Saturday after HOC.  Bruce Campbell will be attending the April meeting to discuss ice in BF’s.

Registration:
-Make it so families need to register in home centres first before looking to other centres for house league.
-Jamie to make call to Huntsville to see if they will close registration to house league registrants.  
-Fee will be $350 for May 1st early bird.
-Late registrations (after May 1st) will be charges an extra $100 making the fee $450.
-Christy looking into family rates to confirm (3+kids $700 for early bird and $900 for after May 1st)
-Asking parents for their suggestions to increase registration
-Roster some outstanding dead line February 15th for OMHA

Disciplinary committee:

Schedule/Reffing:
-Nothing

Coaches/Managers:
-Looking into a parent component of PRS to make mandatory for one parent per house hold. $10-15 extra cost to parents. OMHA can do a presentation.
-2 out of 4 rep teams are out of the OMHA playdowns

Sponsorship:
-Tyke jerseys sponsored by Hoopers in North Bay

Equipment:
-A new left hand set was purchased for JR house league.

Communications:
-Send anything to Larry that you would like posted on web site.

Banquets and Pictures:
-Pictures are to be delivered to our area February 20th for Rachel to hand out to teams.
-Banquets: Rep teams April 15th in Sundridge details to follow. House League in Burk's Falls Sue is looking at schedule. Tyke/Beginner would like to have a family skate Maybe March 23rd Lainie is looking at schedule. Drink provided by league. Rachel organizing trophies and food.

1.0            Approval of Minutes from last meeting

October and November minutes approved by Fred seconded by Gator

2.0            Treasurer’s Report

Next month Christy will have the team money and minor hockey money separated.

Christy suggested that we set up a budget committee- Gator states that approximately 70 hours of ice time a month is used by AMHA

3.0            New Business

Tyke Program- last year parents were not supportive of the 3 on 3 program, members of AMHA worked hard to get parents on board with the Tyke development program

This year volunteer coaches are not supporting the 3 on 3 program and have been bad mouthing AHMA to parents in the dressing room and lobby. A meeting was held on Monday and this problem seems to have been resolved coaches have agreed to coach the 3 on 3 developmental program

Lainie proposes that there be a guideline established for the Tyke Program for accountability

Out of town games for the tyke program will be played on a first come/ first paid basis. The same team will play the local game. 

Fraser and Jamey to attend Tyke practice and parent meeting

Fraser will buy the blue pucks that are required for the Tyke Program

Discussion around a different date perhaps coupled with a dance?  At January’s meeting the executive will discuss date for next years Comedy Night.

Atom Team Raffle Prizes have been approved by the executive

Pizza Sales- beginners 74 units – tyke 131 units- Jr house league 114- Sr house league 26 Pewee Rep 251 units  

8 bonus units – 3 were sold and 5 were donated to AHSS lunch program

Tyke team needs a trainer

Teams are still being rostered

Price of registration drops to ½ price as of December 15/12

No issues at this time in rep or house league.

Sunday game may change due to a referee conflict

Coaches development day held at the SSJ was a success

Trainers will come to every second coaches meeting to keep current with OMHA information
