Baseball Program
BASEBALL LEAGUE INFORMATION
AYS&B Baseball will continue to offer the Rookies League, Minor League, Major League, and Babe Ruth League Programs, similar to last year.
IMPORTANT NOTE
The ideal number of players on a team is 12. Based on registration numbers, AYS&B softball and baseball programs may accept registrations after the deadline to fill out team rosters for all age levels. Ages for baseball will be determined by grade for League play. Ages for Tournament teams will be determined by a player's age as of April 30th. Playing up options are available this year for all levels of Boys Baseball, with parental consent, available team slots or openings (12 per team criteria) and must attend tryouts (required) to determine ability.
ROOKIE LEAGUE (Ages 6 - Grade 2) This program is designed to emphasize the fundamentals of baseball.
MINOR LEAGUE (Grades 3 & 4)
This program is designed to emphasize the fundamentals of baseball for players in grades 3 and 4. All new minor league players must tryout on the scheduled tryout date.
MAJOR LEAGUE (Grades 5 & 6)

All Players in 3rd and 5th grade, and NEW players that are in 4th and 6th grade will be required to attend a tryout session. Following the tryouts, players will be assigned to teams via a League Draft conducted by League Coaches. There will be a League Tournament in Altoona, for Rookies, Minors, and Majors the weekend of June 2-4.
Babe Ruth League (Grades 7 - 12)
This league is for players 13 - 18 years old. Generally there are two games per week. Tryouts or team assignments will be used, depending on player numbers.
