Mission Statement
The purpose of the Atlantic United Soccer Club (Club) is to develop the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, and loyalty through the competition in the game of soccer.

Philosophy
The purpose of the Atlantic United Soccer Club (Club) is to The Club's philosophy is for our youth to have fun while learning the game of soccer. The Club's goal is to give our players the sound fundamentals and tactics necessary to become varsity and college level players.

History
The Club originated in 1978 with two boys teams that played in the loosely organized South Shore Amateur Soccer League. In 1980, the Absecon Soccer Club was founded. By the mid-1980's, the South Shore Soccer League folded and the Club joined the South Jersey Soccer League. Around 1989, the Galloway Township Athletic Association sponsored traveling teams joined the Absecon Soccer Club. Two years later the name of the Club was changed to the Atlantic United Soccer Club to reflect its geographic growth. Since 1978, Atlantic United has evolved into a Club that is now comprised of fifteen teams.

Affiliations
The Club is affiliated with the NJ State Youth Soccer Association (NJYSA), the U.S. Youth Soccer Association (USYSA) and Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). The Club is a member of the South Jersey Soccer League (SJSL) and the South Jersey Girls Soccer League (SJGSL).

Status
The Club received its non-profit status in December 1980 and was incorporated in March of 1998 as a 501(c)(7) corporation. The Club provides education and instruction in the sport of soccer through competition in youth soccer leagues. The Club is supported by sponsorships, affordable membership fees and parent-run fundraising events. The registration and sponsorship fees cover the basic expenses which the Club incurs to place teams in the various leagues. These expenses primarily include league fees, referees fees, insurance, field rental, field maintenance, soccer
equipment and field paint.

Demographics
Atlantic United is an "open-club" which means it accepts teams and players from all communities. While our players mostly come from Galloway Township and the Cities of Absecon and Port Republic, serious players from over twelve neighboring communities in Atlantic, Cape May and Ocean Counties also play on Atlantic United teams
