Modified By-Laws Regarding Board Directors

The current board has modified the by-laws, through a unanimous Board approval, to better define the positions on the Board and to change the manner in which officers are elected. Instead of the officers (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer) being elected directly by the general membership, the sitting Board members will make these selections internally. The general membership will elect candidates to be on the Board, but not specifically elect the officers. The Board will consist of four officers and six Directors. Also, the terms of service and a staggering of elections have been added to avoid wholesale turnover of the Board as has happened in the past.
These changes are being put in place to provide more consistency from year to year in how BAIHA is managed.
The next general election is anticipated in late August.
