Girls’ Fast Pitch Select Teams
Designed for competitive fast pitch players and teams. All of the teams in these leagues are “select” teams that regularly travel to weekend tournaments and seek the highest level of competition. The older girls (12-18) can expect to play 60-80 games starting early April, while the younger girls (10U) will play around 30-40 games.
The age groups are designed for the softball player that—in the early age divisions (10U-12U-14U)—wants to develop the necessary for high school varsity competition. The older age division (16U-18U) generally includes players who are members of their high school teams. Nearly every team plays in post season tournaments, seeking to advance on to regional and national competition.
The age groups available are 10U-12U-14U-16U-18U. Practices start in September less High School girls who are playing High School softball and league play starts the final week in April and continues until mid July. Costs vary from one girls select organization to another. You will find these costs range from $200.00 - $2000.00 per player. In addition, some organization's also require you do fundraising for them as well. The SHOCKER SOFTBALL ASSN. cost is $550.00 per player for 18U, 16U, 14U, 12U and $350 for 10U players. . This fee (550.00 or 350.00) pays for your entry fee into Metro Omaha Softball League (if your team elects to play in Metro League) and to participate in sanctioned select tournaments. Uniforms cost is $155.00 and are yours to keep. You will recieve two sets of uniforms, which includes a visor, one pair of socks,two jerseys, and one pair of shorts. For our 14U, 12U and 10U teams, we have a ALL PLAY POLICY. It is as simple as this, if your daughter shows up to practices, she plays the same amount of innings as the other players in league play. Simple as that. The coaches will be required to track innings played by each player, to ensure each player is getting equal playing time.
We conduct our practices indoors at our indoor facility, which has two indoor batting cages, and a open are for various drills. When the weather gets nicer, we move outside to various Bellevue Softball Fields.
Uniforms. We buy two sets of uniforms (pictured on the web site) .Cost is $155.00.
For fundraising we will do a Chili Feed, with a silent auction. Each family will be asked to sell so many tickets.
If you want to off set the cost of the 550.00 registration fee, we have sheets that you can send to area business for advertising. The money that is raise through this avenue, goes toward your registration fee and uniform.
Our objective is to offer developmental opportunites for every young lady that wants to learn the game of softball. The only thing we ask of both the parents and players that they are commited to the team and organization.
