Shawn Wallace
With over 10 years of cheerleading and coaching experience, Shawn has been cheering since the age of 6. She was the first 8th grader to make the varsity high school football and basketball squads. She served as co-captain in the 10th grade and captain in the 11th and 12th. After graduating high school in 1998, Shawn decided to give back to the community where she coached 3 years at Gresham Park and 4 years at Tucker Fitzgerald Park. While there she spread knowledge of cheerleading to a host of young girls, where she introduced the girls to competitive cheerleading where they won first place awards each year.
In 2005, Shawn was approached with the opportunity to enter the All-Star World of cheerleading where she coached a group of girls from ages 3-5. She later on decided with a group of friends to open an All-Star gym in Decatur, GA. The gym opened in December of 2006 named Cheer Explosion All-Stars of GA. Since coaching all-star, her teams have never been in the bottom half rankings. Just recently the tiny squad was placed National Champs at Jamfest Nationals in Feb. 2008.
Coach Shawn's dreams are to build a successful All-Star Gym that truly caters to the girls. Also to teach the young ladies about giving back to the community, togetherness, love, and most importantly academics. And that anything is possible as long as you believe and achieve!!!
