MISSION STATEMENT
The Concord Babe Ruth Baseball program, using regulation competitive baseball rules, teaches fundamental skills, provides an opportunity for mental and physical development and stresses a respect for the rules of the game.
Concord Babe Ruth Baseball is committed to providing all participants with the very best educational sports experience possible. It is our fundamental belief that every child with a desire to play ball be afforded that chance. The primary objective of Concord Babe Ruth Baseball is to ensure a fun experience, fair play and an atmosphere of good sportmanship for all parties -- players, coaches, umpires, parents, or spectators.
BAT GUIDELINES
Babe Ruth National has implemented new bat requirements per the description below:
The bat may not exceed 34” in length, and the bat barrel may not exceed 2 5/8” in diameter. All aluminum/alloy barrel bats and all composite handle (only) aluminum/alloy barrels are allowed. Only composite barrel bats certified and marked BBCOR .50 will be allowed. Wood barrel bats conforming to the specifications of Official Baseball Rule 1.10 are allowed.
What does this mean? Simply put, an "all-aluminum" bat is allowed, and a bat that has an aluminum barrel with a composite handle will be allowed. However if a bat has a composite barrel, it MUST be marked BBCOR .50.
