DEEP RUN WILDCAT BASEBALL MISSION STATEMENT
It is the mission of the Deep Run HS baseball coaching staff to help prepare a young man for life through the unique opportunity of playing baseball. The primary responsibility is to teach the fundamentals of the game. This will be done by the coaches having the current knowledge of the game and having the ability to teach that knowledge by using current techniques and communicative skills.
It is the responsibility of the coach to help each player become the best he can be. This is accomplished by instilling high expectations in the player, along with the dedication to see those expectations through. In all phases of the game we will strive to be the best and we will strive for excellence.
It is the mission of the Deep Run HS baseball program to be recognized as a premier program in the state of Virginia.
These goals and expectations may not be reached in one short season, or in one year. Hard work, dedication, committment and frustration will be the key.
Winning will not be stressed over any other part of the game. Winning is important , but it is not everything. We are in the business of making fine ballplayers and fine young men.
These objectives will be reached by treating each young man with respect, while commanding respect.
