The EBX 13u girls and families lost our biggest fan and a great friend last week in a tragic accident, Philip Michael Batlin, the 31 year old brother of Katie Batlin was killed by a hit and run driver in Millbrae, CA. On March 23rd, we will attend his memorial service, but he will forever live on in the hearts of our daughters. Our thoughts and prayers are with Michael, Judy, Dan, Mindy and Katie!

Philip Michael Batlin's life tragically ended on March 17 when he was struck by a vehicle while crossing El Camino Real in Millbrae. CA. His family and friends are hosting the 1st Annual Philip Michael Batlin Memorial Fundraiser this Saturday (May 15) at the Yerba Buena Gardens (Sister City Gardens), 750 Howard Street, San Francisco beginning at 6pm in their initial efforts to raise money for the fund and to celebrate his life (Saturday would have also been Batlin's 31st birthday). The memorial fund has been established to provide scholarships to students attending Batlin's alma mater, Chico State University; specifically those interested in the hospitality industry, which was his major.
