Coaches Philosophy
My philosophy for coaching is that first and foremost we are playing soccer to have fun. Although there is an expected schedule and commitment for practices and games, I understand that other commitments are important. I have a more casual approach to the required time commitment from each player and I will be flexible based on individual needs. I have been coaching with FPYC for the past 8 seasons. I have played soccer my entire life. I played organized house, travel and club soccer as well as on the collegiate level for the University of Maryland. GO TERPS!! I focus my training on individual skills and how it relates to team play. I strongly believe that soccer should be fun and a game first and if we are having fun than everything else will come together.

What Type Of Commitment Can I Expect?
- The FPYC Lions have two practices per week during the season. Our practices will be on Mondays and Wednesdays at a location in Fairfax City. We may have some additional practices in the beginning of the season.
- Our games will normally be played on Sundays however, there may be an occasional Saturday game.
- Although we are a travel team, we will have 4 games at a Home location in Fairfax and 4 Away games in the No. VA area.
- Costs - The normal registration for FPYC plus approximately $65 for travel uniforms. There may be additional fees of approximately $150 - $200 per player for Tournaments and other expenses.

- Extensive Individualized Training - The Lions have contracted with Golden Boot Soccer to provide the team with top notch training. Currently the team is being trained by Ali Feldman, a four year starter for the George Mason Womens team. This training provides an excellent opportunity for you to grow as a player.
- Tournament Play - We will play in several local tournaments with some great competition from the area as well as teams from outside the area.

What Type Of Players Are We Looking For?
We are looking for players who have a willingness to learn. The desire to learn is more important than skill level. We want players who love to play soccer and want to improve on their skills. We want players who are competitive and are always trying their best but are also willing to play for a hard working team in a fun filled and positive environment. Is this you?
