Rutgers is always required for ALL FRB coaches. Cal Ripken Certification, although strongly suggested and worthwhile, is not a requirement for REC coaches. For coaches completing Rutgers training in 2007 and prior, the Rutgers certification can also take the place of Cal Ripken Certification. However, Cal Ripken Certification cannot replace Rutgers certification under any circumstances.
