For All Who Donate Their Time With Our Kids

Have you completed your Criminal Record Check with the Pennsylvania State Police?

You may not be on the field coaching and teaching our boys and girls unless your criminal record check is on file with HEYA. Please visit the Pennsylvania Access To Criminal History (PATCH) Web Site to submit for a new record check.

If you have any questions or concerns with completing this very important requirement, please speak with any board member. Thank you!

Game Cancelled?

Get the message out to players and parents with ONE phone call.  You can send a broadcast message call from anywhere. You simply need a touch-tone phone.

This is a great way to get notifications to parents and players for:

Practice changes or cancellations
Driving directions to events
Competition delays or cancellations
Competition results and newsworthly accomplishments
Reminders for important dates and special events.

How does it work?
The system is easy to use HEYA web admin will set it up for you, all you have to do is make the call..
We will create an online calling list(s) of individuals based on your roster or team info. You then call the hotline and record your message, select the groups to whom you'd like to send the message, choose a date and time to start the calls or send it immediately

How much does it cost?
There is no maintenance fees as you only pay for the calls you make. The LeagueCall service is very affordable and saves you time, effort and the frustration of not being able to inform your participants of changes.

Calls can be purchased in blocks as follows:

100 Calls - $14.95
200 Calls - $27.95
500 Calls - $59.95
1000 Calls - $99.95
2500 Calls - $199.95
5000 Calls - $349.95

Each phone number called is considered a call. For example, if you send one message to 10 phone numbers that is considered 10 calls. However, you only pay for calls that were connected to a live person or messaging system.

Other Information
Calls are delivered when the phone is picked-up or an answering machine is activated. You do not get charged for calls that are not completed.
Each call can be up to 2 minutes in length
There are no advertisements in the calls
Upon request you can recieve online reports with your call balance, with call confirmation detailing calls completed and calls not completed.

If you are interested in purchasing this system or if you have questions please contact Eagles Tech and a representative will contact you.

24 Hour Rule

HEYA understands that issues come up during contests, and while we all have the best interest of the child in mind we do not always agree on exactly what that is. Coaching is unique in that you not only have to do what is best for one child, but you must remember to do what is best for the entire team. There are times where that can lead to conflicting opinions. During a contest, and even after a contest, conflict can at times feel heightened. It is for that reason the Harleysville Eagles have implemented the 24 hour rule.

It states no parent or parent substitute is permitted to contact the head coach for any negative confrontation for a period of 24 hrs after a game has ended. They may not approach a head coach w/ concerns about their child, game situations, or conflicts if the comments are confrontational or negative. A 24 hour cool down period must be observed.

This rule is now in effect for most youth football organizations throughout the country, and is looked at as a way for both sides of a conflict to reflect on the situation. In some cases after the heightened intensity of the game is over, all involved realize this is youth sports and should be treated as such.

HEYA has provided other outlets if a parent or parent substitute feels an issue can not wait. All communications can go through the parent liaison, the Athletic Director (unless he is your coach) or any board member. The penalty for violating this rule is suspension of the player for 1 full week (7 days).

THANK YOU COACH!!

From one of your players...

Thank you Coach for all you did, treating me like a special kid.
Thank you Coach for helping me out, eventhough you might shout.
Thank you Coach for taking the time, I know that you don't mind.
Thank you Coach for just being there, and for showing us all you care.

I'm not very big, and I'm not a super star but I will try my best and because of you I'll go far!!!
