Here's to Howie

The Knights suffered a loss over the weekend that will be tougher than any loss you could ever face on a baseball diamond.  Jeff "Howie" Howenstine passed away on Friday leaving a void in the Haugen baseball community.  Nobody loved Haugen Knights baseball more than Howie, and needless to say the loss is a big one for the Knights, the Haugen baseball community, and the Independent League.

Howie brought a lot of things to the Knights, and did countless hours of administration work behind the scenes that made Haugen Knights baseball possible.  However, what we'll miss the most about Howie is the great energy and attitude that he always brought to the ballpark, and how much fun it was to have him in our dugout.

Howie, you were one of our brothers, we'll think about you every time we step on the field, and most importantly, we miss you, we love you, and hope you're resting in peace.
