Head Coach Carolyn Rice
Head Coach Carolyn Rice is a USSF "A" licensed coach and a staff director for Soccer Academy. She has coached and played on five National youth and women's championship teams. Coach Rice is a former U19 Women's National Team coach and coach of the Maryland Pride women's professional team. Carolyn Rice has coached professionally, at the collegiate level, was a member of US Youth Soccer National and Regional coaching staff, and one of the most successful high school coaches in the Metropolitan Area.

Asst Coach Jay Lodge
Jay is a native of Northern VA and attended South Lakes High School. He received High School Parade and Adidas’ “All American” soccer honors and was named the “Northern Virginia Player of the Year” by the Fairfax Journal. He was also voted to the Washington Post’s “All Metropolitan” team. Jay attended the University of Virginia where he played for four seasons. He was captain of the team his 3rd and 4th seasons and was a member of the 1989 NCAA National Championship team. Jay received Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) soccer honors and participated in the US Olympic Festival. After graduating from the University of Virginia, Jay played on several local men’s club teams. More recently, Jay has participated in the VA Olympic Development Training (ODP) program as an evaluator of player development. Jay has 4 children, 3 of whom are currently participating in the CSC/CYA Soccer programs.

Asst Coach Kathy Yow
Kathy is a native of Northern Virginia. Kathy has played competitive soccer for 28 years. She was a member of the U-19 National Champion Braddock Road Blue Belles. Kathy was both a high school and college All-American and played college soccer at North Carolina State University where she was a four year starter. Kathy has been successful at the travel, high school and collegiate level and brings a great deal of knowledge and invaluable experience to the Hotspur. It wasn't that long ago that she was out there on the pitch, so she helps us keep our focus on fun.

Trainer Paul Ngend
Paul has a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and a USSF C Coaching License. He played for the Cameroon youth national team from U15 to U23. He attended soccer school in France and played professionally.

Tryouts: We are currently looking to add competetive, skilled players to our roster for the Fall 2009 year. If you are interested in playing for one of the premier rising U15 girls teams in Virginia, come to our tryouts on Tuesday, June 9th, from 5 to 6:30 pm at Hutchison Turf or Wednesday June 10, 6:30 to 8:00 pm at Alabama Field. Rain Date is on for Thursday, June 11th, from 5:00 to 6:30 at Hutchinson Turf. Field directions can be found under our Directions Link on the Menu.
