Ryan Petz - Ace Coordinator
Ryan Petz is a Major Junior graduate, with eight years of pro experience. After playing four years in the Western Hockey League with the Medicine Hat Tigers and Moose Jaw Warriors, Ryan moved on and signed a contract with the Indianapolis Ice of the former International Hockey League, before making his way to the East Coast Hockey League. Ryan played with the Columbus Chill, and served as the team captain of the Johnstown Chiefs in 1996-1997 season, and served as an alternate captain with the former Pee Dee Pride from 1998 through 2001. During his last season while playing for the Columbia Inferno, he served as assistant captain as well.
Ryan was the director for Boyd Hockey Development in Somerset, Pennsylvania. During the four years he was employed by Boyd Hockey Development, he instructed and directed an assortment of schools and clinics. The highlight was a program designed to prepare high school players for junior level hockey, and eventually NCAA competition. Many former students have moved on to college programs, with a select few playing in the East Coast Hockey League.

Dennis Rowe - Pee Wee/Bantam Coach
Dennis was born in Detroit, Michigan and grew up in Holliston, Massachusetts. He started playing hockey at age five and played throughout high school. As a youth he attended Gordie Howe's Hockey Camp in St. Claire Shores, Michigan, Can Am Camp in Guelph, Ontario and hockey camp in St. Andrews, New Brunswick, Canada.
After high school he didn't play hockey again for 20 years until he attended a birthday party at the former Iceland USA eight years ago. He has been playing ever since, coaching numerous Jr. Inferno house select travel teams and the PeeWee Cyclones two years ago. He also worked with the Inferno as an off ice official for 6 years, serving the penalty box.
Dennis has worked at Love Chevrolet for 12 years in sales and special finance and has earned the nickname "The YES MAN." His wife Debi is an avid tennis player. Their son Ryan, 13, is a Cyclone Bantams player, John, 10, is into soccer and football, and DJ, 7, likes soccer.
The family spends lots of time on Lake Murray on their boat. They love Carolina football, golf and are BIGTIME Boston sports fans (GO BRUINS!).
Dennis is a level 3 certified USA hockey coach.

Dennis Alexander - Pee Wee/Bantam Assistant Coach
Dennis is originally from Buffalo, New York and has been playing hockey since he was three years old. He has been playing ever since and coaching for the past 10 years. He played professional hockey for the Greenville Growl.
Dennis currently works for Norris Enterprises. In addition to hockey he loves NY Yankees baseball, music, Seinfeld, golf and movies. He is level 3 USA hockey certified.

Jack Gelting - Pee Wee/Bantam Coach
Coach Jack has been playing hockey for 36 years and coaching baseball and hockey since 2001. Captain Jack takes pride in being a part of 17 different championship teams at various levels of competition, but places an emphasis on just having fun.
The Geltings of Columbia are Hope, a native Californian and teacher, Jack, a geologist from Connecticut and their two South Carolinian children, Nickolaus, 12 and Catie, age 9. Together they enjoy learning, travel, Golden Retrievers, the arts and the outdoors.

Andy Donato - Mite/Squirt Coach
Andy was born in Havertown, Pennsylvania, just outside Philadelphia. He played street hockey as a child, and began playing roller hockey at the former Concrete Pond in Irmo as an adult. He has been playing recreational adult league ice hockey for 7 years and has been coaching youth hockey for about 4 years.
Andy is employed as an Emergency Physician at Lexington Medical Center. His wife, Linda, is a CPA and the couple have two sons, Nick, 10, who currently plays hockey at the Plex, and Brandon, 7, who is interested in baseball.
The family enjoys all water sports and loves Lake Murray. Andy is also interested in woodworking and Linda is an aspiring artist. The entire family supports all Philadelphia sports teams -- Go Flyers!
Andy will be level 2 USA Hockey certified in December, 2008.

Joe Miller - Mite/Squirt Coach
Joe is originally from Queens, New York and started playing pond hockey as a youngster. He began league play as an adult five years ago and is entering his second year coaching youth hockey.
Joe owns and operates AAA Accurate Plumbing Solutions in Columbia with his wife Heather. Their 7 year old son, CJ, plays hockey at the Plex. They also have two miniature Schnauzers.
The family enjoys traveling, riding four wheelers, and keeping fit.
Joe is a level 3 USA Hockey certified coach.

Robert Hawkinson - Mite/Squirt Coach
Coach Hawkinson was born in Rockford, Illinois. He moved to South Carolina as boy and didn't start playing hockey until two years ago. Coach enjoys golf, hunting, fishing and camping with the family. Being a Cub Master and Cub Scout den leader keep him busy with his twin boys, Cory and Paul, age 10. The boys also play hockey. Coach Hawkinson is married to a great hockey mom and wife, Laura. He is USA Hockey Level II certified.

Dave Mikolajczak - Mite/Squirt Coach
Dave was born in Darien, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago. He started skating at age 6 and began organized hockey at age 18. Dave plays in the Adult League at the Plex.
Dave is the owner of D.S.C. Services, a specialized trucking company. He lives with his two sons, Christian, 10, and Shane, 8. Both boys play hockey at the Plex.
The entire family is into all the "Board Sports," and love music.
Dave is level 3 USA Hockey certified.

Jesse Cox - Mite/Squirt Coach
Jesse was born in Winnipeg, Canada and has been playing hockey for 28 years. His family played hockey and his cousin played professionally. This is his second year coaching.
Jesse works as a Paramedic for Richland County. The entire family loves hockey, from rising star Ariana,4, Angelica,8, Donovan,6, and Amanda in goal. They all like to watch movies, play games and enjoy the outdoors.
Jesse is currently level 1 USA Hockey certified, and plans to move up in certification as the children move up.

Vance Ardnt - Mite/Squirt Coach
Vance was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin and has been playing hockey for 35 years. He first signed up in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin where he was able to play some games outdoors. He played travel hockey at all levels and continued through high school. He currently plays recreational league hockey at the Plex and participates in regional tournaments. He has been coaching for 3 years.
Vance works as a Facility Manager for Pizza Hut restaurants in Jacksonville, Daytona and Orlando, Florida. He and his wife Donna have two children, Dylan who plays in the Squirt program at the Plex, and Dalton who is still considering his hockey future.
The family enjoys boating, fishing, riding ATV's, and anything to do with auto racing.
Vance is Level II USA Hockey certified.

Perry Florio - Mite/Squirt Coach
Coach Florio was born in N.Y., played NCAA Division 1 college hockey at Providence College. In 1985 played on the U.S. National Juniors Team and was a 4th round NHL draft pick for the L.A. Kings. Coach Florio has played professional hockey for six years (NHL, AHL and ECHL). He coached in the ECHL for eight years and was head coach of the Pee Dee Pride and the Roanoke Express.
Coach has been the director of the Pride Youth Hockey Association from 2005 until present and is currently an NHL scout for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Mike Scicchitano - Mite/Squirt Goalie Coach
Mike is originally from Syracuse, NY and began playing hockey when he was 10 years old. He started playing organized hockey when he was 15 and has been playing on and off for the past 35 years. He has coached for 2 years and was the goalie coach for Ryan Petz's 2008 summer camp, and theAllen Sirios Tri City Cyclones camp in Greensboro, NC in October 2008.
Mike and his wife, Trish, own a staffing company called Guardian Healthcare Staffing Solutions. Their 9 year old daughter Jessica plays hockey at the Plex.
Mike and his family currently live in Florence, SC and enjoy travel. Mike flies remote control planes and is working on his pyrotechnic license as he puts on fireworks shows in SC.

Tim Wracker - Equipment Manager
Tim hails from Valparaiso, Indiana and got involved in hockey because of the interest of his children, Christopher and Nicholas. Christopher went to his first Inferno game on his 3rd birthday and has been hooked ever since.
Tim works for CGI as a senior analyst/programmer working with the insurance software system. His wife, Colleen, is a Clinical Educator and registered dietitian for Berkeley Heart Lab at the Heart Center on the Richland Memorial campus.
Tim and Colleen have two boys, Christopher, a third grader, and Nicholas, a second grader. Christopher likes hockey, baseball, computers and design. Nicholas likes hockey, baseball, Star Wars and sword fighting.
Tim plays in a baseball league and enjoys all sports. His other interests include music, computers and house/yard projects.
