Coaching in Kids First/Coaches Meeting Notes
Each year Kids First conducts a coaches meeting to inform coaches what they can expect during the upcoming season. (Click on the Events Calendar link below for scheduled date and times). If you are unable to attend the meeting, please download the information and read each page carefully. If you are planning to attend the meeting, you may also want to download the information, and bring it to the meeting with any questions you may have. This material is very informative and will help you become a better coach, learn more about our organization, and answer most of your "what do I need to do" and "what if" questions. If you are unable to attend the coaches meeting, please make sure you mail us all the required forms that have been included immediately so we can officially list you as a coach and assign you a team. You will also want to send an email to request a practice field and the days and times you want to practice. This is something that will be accomplished at the meeting. and those attending the meeting will have first opportunity to select the best diamonds and the most desireable days to conduct practice. You will need to wait until the practice schedule has been posted to the website on March 15th in order to see what days and times remain available for specific diamond you would like to practice on. The meeting will also include discussion of the new rules as well as rules from past years that have recently been updated. These rules will be listed in the rulebook that will be added to the website soon. Thank you for volunteering your time to help coach. If you have any questions after reading the information provided, please send us an email or call 528-9908. Please click the following links to download information that will be discussed at the coaches meeting.

All registration forms and registration fees must be received by March 21st. All sponsor fees are due by April 15th. All payments for registration and sponsor fees must be made payable to Kids First Sports, Inc.

Equipment and Uniforms
Equipment boxes are available at all diamonds. The home team coach will be responsible for ensuring equipment boxes are locked at the end of each game. Beginning in 2009, all coaches will receive new keys for the equipment boxes and will be scheduled a date for picking up the new keys. See Calendar of events for more information.
Uniforms and equipment will be provided for Coach Pitch/TBall teams. All other divisions will need to furnish their own equipment and uniforms. Kids First has recently acquired a limited supply of equipment suitable for older divisions. This equipment will be available to use for the duration of the season on a first come first served basis. Please see the bulletin board for more information. No charges will be expected for use of the equipment, but coaches will be required to sign for the equipment. If equipment is not returned, the coach will be required to pay Kids First the replacement cost.
Acquisition of new equipment is best accomplished by setting up a fund raiser. There are several options available. Please see information noted below.
NEW IN 2009: Kids First is interested in purchasing used equipment from anyone who coached last year, that is not planning on returning to coaching for the 2009 baseball/softball season.
