Who Are We:
The Mad City Stars was established in April 2003 by Debbie Yapp. It is one of the Madison areas most exciting elite all-star cheer and dance training programs and soon to be the best. We have many different programs/levels to fit all areas of abilities.
The program was started to foster, encourage, and promote the sport of cheerleading, tumbling, and dance for the youth of the Greater Dane County Area. The teams and classes focus on the promotion of athletic excellence, developing leadership, confidence, and elite cheer skills in each and every team member with an emphasis on teamwork, dedication, persistance, attitude, and determination.
Students may enroll into the program at various levels. We have traveling and non-traveling teams for the very beginning level all the way up to elite skills. We are also home to the only Special Needs Squad in Wisconsin. The Special Needs squad is for children and adults with mental, physical, and multiple disabilities. The programs focus is to give participants a chance to Shine among friends and family and have fun. All teams will perform/compete approximately 3 - 4 times throughout the year in local competitions/events. Some teams also compete regionally, and nationally.
