    The Arlington Tigers Blue defeated the Germantown Giants and advanced to the championship round to face the Travelers.  With Ryan Garner on the mound, the Travelers held the Tigers to only 1 hit and 0 runs with 4 strikeouts in the first 4 innings.  Reed Haggard came on in relief and contributed 4 strikeouts and gave up 0 hits and 0 runs.  The Travelers’ seven hits and impressive base-running resulted in the 8-0 win over the Tigers. Chase Hamilton (RBI) led the Travs’ offense with a homerun in the 5th inning.  Reed Matheny  and Jordan Barnes each added 2 singles. Garrett Copeland (2 RBIs), Josh Cooley, Jordan Rodgers, and John Wesley Ray each had a single in the championship win.

    In the semi-finals the Travelers faced the Arlington Tigers once again.  In a notable outing on the mound, Victor Cole gave up only 3 hits with 6 strikeouts in the 5-inning shutout.  Nine hits which included an awesome grand slam by Chase Hamilton (4 RBI) resulted in an 8-0 win.  Other Travelers who contributed to the offensive effort included:  Victor Cole (RBI) had 2 singles and a double; John Wesley Ray added a single and a double; Jordan Rodgers had 2 singles; Jordan Barnes had one single.

    The Travelers faced the Germantown Giants in the quarter-finals game on Monday afternoon.  Chase Hamilton on the mound for the Travelers gave up only 4 hits and 1 run in 4 innings with 3 strikeouts.  Jordan Rodgers came on in relief in the 5th and gave up no hits and no runs and had 1 strikeout.  Reed Haggard led the Travelers’ offense with 2 doubles, a homerun, and 3 RBIs.   Ross Adams 2 RBIs) contributed one single and a homer. Chase Hamilton added a triple.  Jordan Barnes (RBI) and Victor Cole each had a double.  Evan Michael (RBI) had a single and Mattie Bolton added an RBI in the 9-1 win over the Giants

    In the third pool play game, the Travelers faced the Arlington Tigers Blue.  In the 4 inning game, Reed Haggard and Mattie Bolton combined for 7 strikeouts and gave up only 2 hits and 0 runs.   Seven hits and seven walks led to the Travs’ 10-0 win.  Victor Cole (4 RBIs) led the offense with a single and a triple.  Jordan Barnes (RBI), Chase Hamilton (RBI), Ross Adams (2 RBIs), Haggard, and Jordan Rodgers each added a single in the win.  Reed Matheny had an RBI.

    The Yellow Jackets of Denham Springs, LA were the Travelers’ opponent in the second pool play game.  John Wesley Ray on the mound for the Travelers gave up only 2 hits and had 5 strikeouts in three innings.  Reed Matheny came on in relief in the 4th and gave up no runs.  Hitting was on the mark for the Travs as they posted 10 hits and 12 runs in the game.  Jordan Barnes (2 RBIs), Ryan Garner (RBI), Reed Matheny (RBI), and Evan Michael (RBI) each added a huge homerun to help defeat the Jackets.  Josh Cooley (3 RBI) had 2 singles and a double.  Garner also added a double.  Barnes also added 2 singles.  Jordan Rodgers (2 RBIs) and Reed Haggard each added a single.

    In the first pool play game against the Bartlett Saints, the Travelers racked up 11 hits and 10 runs in 3 innings of play.  Strong bats and tight defensive led to the Travs’ first win of the tournament. In a notable outing Caleb Powell gave up no hits in the three inning game and faced each batter only one time.  Fans were witness to some big hitting by the Travelers which was led by Reed Haggard’s 2 impressive homers and 5 RBIs.  Ross Adams had a 3 RBI homer.  Jordan Barnes, Evan Michael, and Powell each contributed a double.  Reed Matheny (RBI) had 2 singles.  Mattie Bolton, Jordan Rodgers, and Josh Cooley each added a single in the win.

    In the Championship game on the Fourth of July, the Travs met the Gameday Athletics.  Chase Hamilton on the mound and Reed Haggard in relief gave up only 4 hits in the 7 inning ballgame.  Impressive defensive plays helped to hold the Athletics to only two runs.  The Travelers had only 6 hits in the game, but combined with heads up base-running, it was enough to defeat the Athletics 7-2.   Hamilton (RBI) hit his 21st homer of the season, Ryan Garner (RBI) had a nice triple, Reed Matheny (2 RBIs) added 2 singles, and Mattie Bolton and John Wesley Ray each had a single.  Vic Cole had 2 RBIs in the championship win.

    On the Fourth of July, the Travelers were pitted against the Stampede of Hattiesburg, MS in the Semi-Final game.  The Stampede came out early with a 2-1 lead over the Travelers in the first.  Behind very good pitching by Ryan Garner and Reed Haggard in relief, the Travelers’ defense came alive and  held the Stampede to only 5 hits in 5 innings.  Offensively, the Travs were right on the mark once again.  With 9 hits and excessive walks, the Travelers were able to put 10 runs on the boards defeating the Stampede 10-2.  Chase Hamilton (3 RBIs) led the offense with 2 doubles, and Victor Cole (RBI) had one double.  Each of the following player added a single in the quarter-final win:  Jordan Rodgers (2 RBIs), Josh Cooley (RBI), Jordan Barnes (RBI), Josh Wesley Ray, Evan Michael, and Caleb Powell.  Garner had an RBI.

    The Travelers faced Legends Baseball in the Quarter-Finals on Thursday night.  With Victor Cole on the mound, the Legends team didn’t have a chance.  Cole shut down the opponent with an impressive 12 strikeouts and gave up only 4 hits in 5 innings.  The Travelers offense had a slow start with 3 scoreless innings.  A lead-off homer by Reed Matheny (RBI) in the 4th was the spark that the Travelers needed.  Three more hits and great base running put the Travelers up 5-0 at the end of 4.  A homerun by Ross Adams (2 RBIs) in the 5th help lead the Travelers to an 8-0 win over the Legend.  Jordan Rodgers (2 RBIs) had a triple. John Wesley Ray and Cole each added 2 singles.  Reed Haggard (RBI) had a single, and Josh Cooley added an RBI in the win.

    In bracket play on Thursday morning, the Travelers met Team Collierville.  Caleb Powell was impressive on the mound going 6 innings striking out 5 and giving up only 4 hits.  The Travelers defense was in fine form once again holding Team Collierville to only 2 runs.  Offensively, the Travelers put 10 hits on the boards resulting in 10 runs.  John Wesley Ray (3 RBIs) led the offense with a single, a double, and a triple.  Chase Hamilton (3 RBIs) added 2 doubles.  Josh Cooley (RBI) and Powell each contributed a double.  Ryan Garner had a single and a double and Jordan Rodgers (RBI) had a single.  Jordan Barnes had an RBI in the win.

    In the 4th pool play game, the Travelers faced the Southaven Angels.    John Wesley Ray and Jordan Rodgers were on the mound for the Travelers striking out 5 batters and holding the Angels to only 3 hits in the game’s 6 innings of play.  The Travelers’ offensive was very productive as they took advantage of defensive errors and excessive walks; some very good hitting also helped lead the team to a 10-1 win.  Chase Hamilton (2 RBIs) and Victor Cole (3 RBIs) each had a homer in the game.  Ross Adams added a single and triple.  Reed Matheny had a single and a double.  Garrett Copeland (RBI) contributed 2 singles, and Mattie Bolton, Caleb Powell, Ryan Garner, and Cole each added single in the Travelers’ win.

    In the third pool play game, the Travelers were pitted against the Bolton Wildcats. The Travelers combined excellent defense and timely hitting to defeat the Wildcats 15 – 4 in five innings of play.  Reed Matheny and Mattie Bolton were on the mound for the Travs and held the Wildcats to only 6 hits.  The following players contributed to the Travelers’ 12 hits in the win:  Chase Hamilton (4 RBIs) 2 singles and a triple, Josh Cooley (RBI) a single and a double, Jordan Barnes (RBI) 2 singles.  Matheny (3 RBIs), John Wesley Ray (3 RBIs), Jordan Rodgers (2 RBIs), Evan Michael, and Ryan Garner each added a single in the win.

    Tuesday morning the Travelers faced the Clarksville A’s.  Nine hits, 5 walks, and opponent errors led the Travelers to a 12-2 victory in the second pool play game.  Ross Adams (3 RBIs) had a triple, Josh Cooley (2 RBIs), Chase Hamilton (RBI), and Victor Cole (RBI) each had a double, and Ryan Garner (2 RBIs) and John Wesley Ray (RBI) added 2 singles a piece.  Reed Haggard (RBI) hit a single and Jordan Rodgers added an RBI. Haggard had an impressive outing on the mound for the Travelers giving up only 2 hits and striking out 8 batters.  Reed Matheny came on in relief in the 5th, and with runners in scoring position, pitched out of the situation to end the game.

    The Travelers were matched up against the Oklahoma Titans in Monday morning’s first pool play game.  Effective pitching was the key to the 8-3 Traveler win.  Caleb Powell was on the mound and held the Titans to only 3 runs.  Victor Cole came on in the 4th and faced 10 batters of which he struck out 6.  In the 7th, Reed Haggard came on in relief and struck out the side to end the game.  The Travelers gave up only 3 hits and combined for 11 strikeouts in the 7 inning game.  Once again the Travelers’ offense took advantage of excessive walks, defensive errors, and 5 hits to put 8 runs on the board and win the game.  Chase Hamilton (RBI) and Josh Cooley had a double, and Jordan Rodgers (2 RBIs), Ryan Garner (RBI), and John Wesley Ray each added a single.  Garrett Copeland (RBI) contributed a notable performance at short stop in the Traveler win.

    The Oklahoma Cardinals were the Travelers' opponent in the championship game on Sunday afternoon. The Travelers posted another remarkable defensive outing led by Chase Hamilton on the mound. With runners in scoring position early in the game, Hamilton battled through and gave up no runs on two hits with 6 strike-outs in 4 innings. Reed Matheny came on in relief to end the game in the 5th. At the plate the Travelers continued to be productive and deposited 10 hits on the boards. Hamilton's (3 RBIs) homer in the first was the just the beginning of great Traveler hitting. John Wesley Ray (2 RBIs) added a single and a double. Ryan Garner (RBI) and Victor Cole each contributed a double. Jordan Rodgers (RBI), Josh Cooley, Caleb Powell, Jordan Barnes, and Ross Adams each had a single. Garrett Copeland had an RBI in the championship win.

    In the semi-final game on Sunday, the Travelers once again faced the St. Louis Dirt Dawgs. It was pretty much the same story as on Saturday in pool play. The Travelers hit the ball very well, and their defense, led by Victor Cole, was exceptional. Cole faced 10 batters and struck out 8, giving up 0 hits in the two inning game. The Travelers' impressive hitting included 4 homeruns, one each by Chase Hamilton (3 RBIs), Ross Adams (3 RBIs), Victor Cole (RBI), and Jordan Rodgers (3 RBIs). Hamilton and Ryan Garner each added a double. John Wesley Ray (RBI) had 2 singles, and Mattie Bolton and Cole each added a single in the win.

    Saturday afternoon the Travelers were pitted against the Dirt Dawgs of St. Louis. The Travelers combined excellent defense and timely hitting to defeat the Dirt Dawgs 15 - 1 in three innings of play. Ryan Garner had a strong outing on the mound with three strikeouts as he held the Dirt Dawgs to only 3 hits. The following players contributed to the Travelers' 10 hits in the win: Chase Hamilton (3 RBIs) a single and a homer, John Wesley Ray (2 RBIs) a homerun, Reed Matheny (RBI) 2 doubles, Victor Cole (3 RBIs) a double, Garner (RBI) a double, Jordan Rodgers (RBI) 2 singles, and Mattie Bolton 1 single.

    When the Travelers faced the Cobras of Chesterfield in Saturday's second pool play game, they came out hitting and never quit. Sixteen hits and three innings later, the Cobras were defeated 16 - 0. Reed Haggard and John Wesley Ray combined for 3 strike-outs and gave up only 3 hits in the long 3 inning game. Two great innings of hitting can be summed up as follows: Reed Matheny (3 RBIs) double and a homer, Haggard (3 RBIs) 2 doubles, Ryan Garner(RBI) 2 singles and a double, Chase Hamilton (RBI) a double, and Jordan Barnes (2 RBIs) and Josh Cooley (2 RBIs) each added 2 singles.

    In Friday night’s pool play game, the Travelers defeated The Surge 14-0.  Caleb Powell, on the mound for the Travelers, was impressive giving up only one hit and striking out 5 batters in the 4 inning ballgame.  Powell’s effort on the mound and remarkable defensive plays by infielders Garrett Copeland, Josh Cooley, Evan Michael, and John Wesley Ray were the keys to shutting down the Surge.  The Travelers hitting was right on the mark once again with 12 hits in the game.  Several Travelers had notable performances at the plate in this first pool play game.  Ray (2 RBIs) 2 singles and homer, Ryan Garner (3 RBIs) a double and a homerun, Powell (2 RBIs) a single, a double, and a homerun, Mattie Bolton (2 RBIs) and Cooley each added a double, Jordan Rodgers (RBI) a single, and Ross Adams and Chase Hamilton each had a RBI in the win
