Things You Should Know
Hello Coaches,
Tomorrow is the start of the regular season and I thought I would go over a few things:
• Home teams coaches are responsible for setting up and taking down the fields. Nets and flags will be at the Snack Bar prior to the first game of the day and must be returned after the last game of the day. Don’t be afraid to ask your parents for assistance.
• Each Friday the NSC is requiring that all coaches who are playing at Northgate Park that weekend must assist with painting the fields for the weekend’s play.
• Please ensure that your players are in uniform. The NSC requires that all player have matching uniforms which includes white socks. Referees will have the authority to not allow a player to play if a player does not have the same uniform as his/her team mates.
• Game card will be available at the referee table. Which is usually located in the tree line between Moffat and Avila fields. Please fill out your game card at least 15 minutes prior to the game. The game cards require the player’s name and number. If your players have identical numbers the one of the uniforms will need to be modified (with colored tape). Just add a stripe to the back. (ex. 43 becomes 143). Use the template and located on the coaches corner to assist you. Use Avery 5168 labels. Check at Snack Bar the NSC may have some available for you.
• Please take the time to fill out a match report for your games. This will assist our referee coordinator in rating our referees each week and help the club.
• Please see the U6 and U8 modified rules on our website.
Remember to report your scores to your age group coordinator every weekend.
