Parent Volunteer/Information
RCLC depends on parent volunteers to accomplish all the duties required to field our teams. These include team parents, field lining, field setup and breakdown, timekeeping, scorekeeping, stats, team wear sales, consessions and many others. All members will be expected to contribute some time during the season.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
CLUB LEVEL DUTIES
1) NCJLA DELEGATE/ Liason with RCLC and league, attend 5-6 meetings per season
2) CLUB SCHEDULER/schedule all league games,times, locations with other clubs,confirm games and officials during season as per league protocol, reschedule games as required.
3) TREASURER-should be a multi year commitment 2-3 year minimum
4) FIELD LIASON/ work with city and school district to secure field usage permits for practice and games.
5) TEAM WEAR SALES/ CONSESSIONS/ co-ordinate with individual teams for team wear and consession sales at all home games. Handle receipts, maintain sales records, store supplies, etc.
6) TEAM PARENT ADVISOR/ co-ordinate activities for and advise team parents of fundraising activities, game changes etc.
7) CLUB PHOTOGRAPHER/ organize/setup team photos, work with team photographers on website photos, provide photos for media, etc.
8) WEBMASTER/ maintain/update club website
TEAM LEVEL DUTIES
1) TEAM PARENT (s) each team/ hold team meeting/maintain team book/act as conduit between parents and coaches, create team email list for team/club information, phone parents when needed, insure a score(1)and time keeper(1) are at each home game one half hour before game time, co-ordinate volunteers or assign duties for your teams home game responsibilities, inform board of issues of concern.
2) CULTURE KEEPER/each team/act as sideline monitor during all games to insure spectators on both teams adhere to the “Parent/sideline Code of Conduct “. inform a Board member or game officials if needed.
3) FIELD PREP/ each team/assist with field lining for practice and game fields, field setup/ breakdown for home games.
4) SCOREKEEPER/each team/in table area/keep official scorebook for NCJLA at home games, work with game officials during games (training by club)
5) TIMEKEEPER/each team/ in table area/ keep official game/penalty clock, work with scorekeeper and game officials (training by club)
6) TEAM PHOTOGRAPHER/ game photos
7) WATER JUG DUTIES/ insure water bottles are at each game and re-filled as needed
8) FIELD CLEANUP/ after home games insure all field gear is taken off the field, cleanup facility as needed/ empty trash cans/ clean restroom if applicable.
