What is Hot Yoga?
Hot yoga is a series of postures practiced in a heated room. The series works to stretch, strengthen and tone the muscles while detoxifying the body and calming the mind.
Who should participate in Hot Yoga?
Everyone. It is ideal whether being a beginner or a seasoned practitioner. Every class takes you through a series of strengthening and toning postures in the detoxifying calm of a heated studio.
What if I am not Flexible?
You don't have to be flexible to start yoga. The heated practice room allows for tight muscles to stretch with greater ease.
Is there anything I should avoid prior to participating in a class?
Come to class on an empty stomach, if you are hungry a snack is okay, something small like a fruit. Avoid coffee before class, try to incorporate more water instead. Try to avoid heavy meals 2-3hrs prior to participating. Come to class well hydrated and continue to drink water throughout the day following your class.
What do I need to bring with me?
A yoga mat, large towel for yoga and a second one if you will be showering, a water bottle and wear light comfortable clothing that you don't mind sweating in.
What if I don't have a mat, or I forget my towel?
We have mats and towels available to rent for $2 each or there are yoga mats at the studio which can be purchased.
