**Important B- Team Uniform Information**
I have scheduled a fitting with Varsity Spirit Fashions for the B Team girls. It is at Overdale Field on June 16. The following girls MUST come to the field at the times below. It is VERY important that you DO NOT miss this fitting. If there is an extreme circumstance, please let me know as soon as possible.

CHEER CAMP SET
July 6, 2009 --
Mandatory Cheer Camp for 3rd grade thru 7th grade
July 27 - 30 from 4:00 to 7:00 at Overdale Field.
All in full attendance will receive a special gift at the end of the week.
Please come in comfortable clothes with sock and tennis shoes - NO SANDALS, FLIP FLOPS, OR CROCKS.
Bring water and sunscreen.

The TYF 2009 Cheerleading (grades 2-7) registration dates are:
Feb 21 from 12:00 to 2:00
&
March 1 from 2:00 to 4:00
Registration will be held at the Ritchies Memorial Shelter.
We will be having a parent meeting to address any questions at the start of registration.
We are in need of volunteers for Cheer Team-Moms.
Anyone interested will be able to sign up at registration.
There are other options for volunteers as well.
Thank you in advance for your support.
There will be no money due at registration.
Fees will be paid on either April 19th or May 17th during football registration at Overdale Field from 1-3pm.
You will be able to pay for multiple children in the program at this time and also pick up your raffle tickets.
Cheer parents will need to provide 3 different checks: 1 for registration fees, 1 for your volunteer commitment, and 1 for warm-up suits.
We will also be measuring/ordering warm- up uniforms at this time so please plan for this by bringing your child with you.

Welcome to the Tallmadge Youth Football cheerleading program. I would like to thank each of you for your participation. I am looking forward to an exciting year with all of the kids within the organization. Please feel free to call any of the above numbers with any questions that you may have.
Financial Obligations
The cost to cheer for TYF is $125. TYF will hold your check until 8/1/2009 and give you 25 raffle tickets to sell at $5 each to offset this cost. The money collected for the tickets is yours to keep. Simply deposit the money into your own account to cover the check written.
As some of you returning are aware, last year we made the switch to the Buckeye Youth Football Conference. This paved the way for more to join and for our organization to grow. With that growth, we have made some changes and are in need of as many volunteers as possible. We will be collecting a $50 per family deposit. Please make your check payable to TYF and dated for October 15, 2009. This deposit will be returned to you at the end of the season provided that you have volunteered for at least 5 events within the organization and have returned the uniform.
Each cheerleader is required to purchase warm-ups for the season. This includes (warm-up jacket, warm-up pants, shoes, bodysuit, briefs and a hair bow) 2007 and 2008 warm-ups are acceptable. The dates to purchase will be relayed to you at a later date.
Cheer Camp
Mandatory Cheer camp is July 27thru 30 from 4:00 to 7:00. There will be coaches from NEO on hand to teach the girls the dance and hello cheer.
**Flag cheerleaders do not need to report until the first day of practice.**
Practices
All practices are held at Overdale Field.
Starting August 3rd, practice will be from 5:30 to 7:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week. We will have a short meeting at the end of each Thursday night practice to relay any important information.
Once school begins, practices will reduce to Monday and Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:00.
All girls are to come to practice in comfortable clothing that is appropriate for the weather. Shoes and socks must be worn at all times and they must come with a water bottle. Please remind your daughter to use the restroom prior to arriving for practice.
Weather
Practices will be held in LIGHT RAIN. Practices are not held in thunder and lightning. If it begins to thunder and lightning during practice, please come to the field immediately and pick up your child.
Rewards Program
Cheerleaders will have the opportunity to earn rewards throughout the season in certain categories. These categories are:
Perfect attendance at cheer camp shoe charm
Game Pin – being prepared, standing at the ready, and all smiles football pin
Leadership Star
Respectfulness Star
Outstanding attitude Megaphone
Most enthusiastic Megaphone
Each girl will have the chance to be Captain of the week.
At the end of the season, awards will be handed out for the following:

Exceptional Conduct
Perfect attendance

Fall 2009
1. All practices and games are mandatory. Should you be ill or
unable to attend, it is your responsibility to notify your Director, Assistant Directors, or Team Moms PRIOR to the absence.
2. Be on time to every game and practice.
3. Arrive to each game 30 minutes before the start of the game.
4. Bring entire uniform to each and every game in neat and clean condition.
5. Hair pulled up.
6. No jewelry.
7. No gum chewing.
8. No bickering or unsportsmanlike conduct.
9. No profanity, use of illegal drugs or tobacco.
10. Be respectful of Directors, Team Moms, and Coaches.
11. Be responsible.
Demerit System
• 1 demerit – verbal and written warning.
• 2 demerits – sit out one quarter of a game.
• 3 demerits – sit out half of the game.
• 4 demerits – sit out entire game.
• 5 demerits – potential dismissal from the squad without a refund.
Please remember that you are a representative of the Tallmadge Youth Football organization and of the community. We ask that you conduct yourself accordingly.

Missing Cheer Uniforms!
Attention Cheer Parents:
It has come to our attention that there are still MANY Cheer Uniforms from last season that have not been returned.
TYF needs these uniforms back ASAP so that the incoming Cheerleaders may use them.
In the past, lack of uniforms has meant that cuts had to be made on the squads and therefore we have tried to secure as many uniforms as possible so that no child has to be left out of cheer for equipment reasons.
The cost to replace these missing uniforms is very high and takes away money intended to be used to improve the program; so the children lose out.
If you have a uniform at home or know someone that does, please return it and ask others to return them so that no children have to be kept out of the program.
Unfortunately your child will not be allowed to sign-up for the 2009 Cheer season until you have returned their uniform from last year.
