Game Day Procedures and Responsbilities

1. Prior to each game, the assigned trainer would like on Thursday evening (or Friday evening at the latest) the AVAILABLE ONLY roster available for the weekend game. Players will have told the team manager if they are available or injured (away etc), and then the assigned team trainer can then prepare a team for the game on Saturday or Sunday - ideally on their own if it's their primary team; if not, then advice can be sought from other trainers in the club. The rosters will be of course be subject to change (people being ill on day of game etc), but an accurate attendance record will assist with team selection. This is particularly important with the larger squads if they are only traveling with 16; or, those age groups who are assisting older teams with player loans.

2. On arrival at the field, the trainer is to take the warm up and be in charge of all game day tactics prior to, during (play and half time) and after the game.

3. At the same time the team manager is to take care of the :

- carding & team roster (including ALL attending players' MEDICAL RELEASE forms): including having these ready; and ideally the players checked in as soon as possible so warm up can take place without interruption.
- providing an assistant referee (lines person) - if not provided by NCSA.
- putting up any tents for shelter
- providing a suitable match day ball (correct size and inflated).
- provide 1st aid medical kit (All RBNY carry 1st aid kits anyway)

- speaking to parents about any issues or concerns

4. RBNY to deal with any minor injures on the field - team manager / parent coach welcome to assist but staff are 1st aid trained. If the injury is serious enough to cause the player to leave field - or in extreme conditions ambulance called - it is the responsibility of team manager and RBNY to apply ice pack etc and keep observation of the player (it is at this point that the player's parent can also be involved).

5. Time management of resting players / substitutions to be monitored by team manager - though RBNY will do best to be aware of who has played game time etc. If team managers can remind trainers when it's time to bring a player on it should allow equal playing time, especially at the younger age groups. Team Managers are encouraged to keep written records of each game day's player participation. VUSC will provide suggested sheets to use (c/o Justin Marriott - VP Small Sided)

6. Post game - Trainer to lead cool down where necessary and team manager to sign off on any required paper work. This includes submitting online game reports to NCSA.

7. Team Manager responsible for any players left at fields waiting to be picked up by parents - since game days are very busy for the trainers any delays will disrupt other teams preparations.
