   Matt Gerber

Matt Gerber will begin his 23rd year as a science teacher in the Clark County School District beginning in the Fall of 2020. He began his teaching career at Durango High School (1998-2006, 2012-2016). In addition, Mr. Gerber has taught at Green Valley High School (2006-2011), and Silverado High School (2011-2012), and Arbor View High School (2017-2020).  During his time in the CCSD, Mr. Gerber has taught Earth Science, Environmental Science, Principles of Science, Geoscience, Chemistry, Physics, and Physics Honors.

 Coach Gerber began his coaching career in Fall 1995 at Green Valley High School where he served as the JV defensive coordinator for three seasons. In the fall of 1998, he moved to Durango High School where he spent one season as JV defensive coordinator, one season as varsity WR/DB coach, and six seasons as Varsity offensive coordinator. In the fall of  2006, Coach Gerber became the head football coach at Green Valley High School where he spent five years leading the Gators. In the fall of 2011, he moved to Silverado High School and was the Varsity offensive coordinator. Coach Gerber then returned to Durango High School in the fall of 2012 where he spent five seasons leading the Blazers. In 2017, Coach Gerber moved to Arbor View High School where he spent two seasons as the Varsity WR/DB coach at Arbor View High School before taking over as head football coach for the Aggies. He begins his 26th season as a football coach and 2nd season as the head football coach of Arbor View this fall.

Coach Gerber and his wife Jennifer, an administrator in the CCSD, have two daughters Addison and Emilyn. Coach Gerber was born and raised in Las Vegas and graduated from Valley High School in 1992. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. He enjoys spending time with family and friends. 

  

 

 

  

 

 
Coach Brett Ridenour  
Offensive Coordinator
   

Coach Ridenour graduated from Arbor View in 2011 where he played football on Arbor View's first ever playoff team. Coach Ridenour was the starting left guard (who blocked 3, 1000 yard rushers), team captain and 2010 All Northwest 1st Team offensive guard. Coach Ridenour graduated with an advanced honors diploma and a 4.25 GPA.

Coach Ridenour began his coaching career immediately after graduation as a freshman assistant coach. For the next two seasons Coach Ridenour joined the JV staff as the running backs coach and defensive line coach before being promoted to varsity as the tight end/defensive ends coach in the fall of 2015. For the next three years, Coach Ridenour took on the role of varsity special team's coordinator and served as the running backs coach. In the fall of 2019 Coach Ridenour will begin his 9th season coaching football at Arbor View where he will be the varsity offensive coordinator and running backs coach. Coach Ridenour ran the Arbor View Jr. Aggies for 6 years while growing the program into one of the premier youth football programs in the state of Nevada.

Coach Ridenour teaches special education at Arbor View. In his free time, Coach Ridenour loves spending time with his wife and 2 year old daughter. In July 2019, Coach Ridenour and his wife are expecting a baby boy. Coach Ridenour also coaches JV basketball for Arbor View. He also enjoys going to the gym or watching sports where he roots for the Green Bay Packers, Alabama Crimson Tide, Duke Basketball and the LA Lakers.

  

 

 

 Coach Scott Hamilton
Defensive Coordinator
  

 Scott Hamilton, age 28, grew up in Las Vegas graduating from Centennial High School in 2009. Coach Hamilton continued his football career at New Mexico Highlands University and Dixie State where a leg injury ended his playing career early. Coach Hamilton has been coaching for 11 seasons at the youth, ages 10 to 12, and middle school levels. Currently Coach is working for a private school, New Horizons Academy, for students who have learning disabilities.  Coach Hamilton is also coaching Basketball and Soccer at his school going on his 7th season.  “I enjoy mentoring, coaching, and role modeling for these young men.” In his spare time he enjoys playing flag football, basketball and spending time with his wife and son.  Coach Hamilton is going on his 6th year with the Arbor View football program starting at the freshman level being the defensive coordinator to now being the Varsity Defensive Coordinator.

Coach Corey Gaiter
Defensive Line/Tight Ends

 

 

Born in Pittsburgh, PA (or Sixburgh). Corey graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Business Administration and Management, as well as a 2 year starter at D Tackle and 1 year at Linebacker while there. After graduating college and football tryouts, moved to Cleveland to play Semi-Pro football for the Cleveland Lions. After 8 years in Cleveland and 1 Semi-Pro National Championship, Corey moved to Las Vegas in 2005. He played 2 years with the Las Vegas Cobras before hanging them up and started focusing on his passion and dream of Coaching.

Coach Gaiter has been on the Jr. Aggie coaching staff for 5 seasons, and 2 seasons with the Freshman Team. He has 1 daughter Teya who loves to dance and is a former Aggie Cheerleader. His favorite teams are - NFL Sixburgh Steelers, NBA - Cleveland Cavaliers, NHL- Pittsburgh Penguins, NCAAF - Oregon Ducks and NCAAB - Cincinnati Bearcats. His ultimate goal is to get the Jr. Aggies and Freshman kids ready for the next level and to bring a State Title to AV.

Coach Bill Murray

  Coach Murray has 22 years of teaching and coaching experience in the Clark County School District. He taught PE for one year at Jim Bridger Junior High, the next eight years were spent at Mojave High School teaching Health, Strength Training, Careers and Speech. The next three years he spent coaching and teaching at Arbor View. Transitioning once more, Coach Murray spent the next four years as the PE teacher at Scherkenbach Elementary. During this time he continued to coach football for Arbor View. The 2014-2015 school year Coach Murray returned to Arbor View HS to teach Autism and was the freshman football OC. Coach Murray was the head freshman coach for the 2016-2018 school years. He is currently serving as the Head JV Coach and OC. 

Coach Murray started his coaching career at Mojave High School. During his eight years there, he coached freshman and Junior Varsity football, Junior Varsity baseball and wrestling. The last five years at Mojave High School, Coach Murray was the head Varsity wrestling coach. With the help of a hardworking and knowledgeable staff, Coach Murray was able to turn a perennial losing team into a state championship program - winning the Nevada 4A state title in 2007 and 2008. The past twelve years Coach Murray has coached football for Arbor View HS.

Coach Murray is married to Cassie Murray, a counselor at Arbor View High School and has two children William (16) and Madison (14). He met Cassie while attending Eastern Washington University. Coach Murray received his Bachelor's degree in PE from E.W.U. in 1996. He earned his Master's degree in Administration from University of Phoenix in 2011. In his spare time, Coach Murray enjoys spending time with the family riding bikes, going to the park with the dogs, playing catch, and coaching. 


 

 
Coach Daryle Brenner
Defensive Coordinator
 
 

 Coach Brenner has worked for the Clark County School District for 23 years. He began his teaching career at Rancho High School and was the defensive coordinator for the freshman football team under the tutelage of Head Coach Dan Barnson. He was also the assistant varsity coach for the wrestling team. He spent the next six years at Basic High School and was the assistant varsity wrestling coach and the JV football team defensive coordinator. He then transferred to Silverado High School to become the Head wrestling coach and work with the freshman football team. In 2008, Coach Brenner was reunited with Coach Barnson and became the defensive coordinator for the freshmen football team. He is currently working with the JV team as the defensive coordinator.

Coach Brenner moved to Las Vegas in 1977 and graduated from Bonanza High School. While at Bonanza, he participated in football and wrestling where he was a three time state qualifier and an undefeated state champion in wrestling. He went to Palomar Jr. College to wrestle and was part of the California Jr. College State Championship team and was a Jr. College All-American. He then returned to Las Vegas to continue his education. Coach Brenner holds two post secondary degrees; B.S. Ed. in Special Education from UNLV and a M.A. in Teaching from Grand Canyon University. He has also completed the Certified Teacher Education Program in Coaching from Touro University. Coach Brenner is married to Tiffany and they have four children, Reece, Lauryn, Abbey, and Dylon. Coach Brenner enjoys going to zoos, amusement parks, and the beach with his family and one day hopes to win a WSOP bracelet.

 

 

 
Coach Billy Davis Sr.

Billy Davis was raised in South Carolina. After graduating high school he had the opportunity to play football, at the University of Pittsburgh. After 4 years he continued his football career in the NFL, where he played for the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens. Since retiring he spends most of his time with his kids. He also helped coach the junior Aggies for four seasons. His favorite quote is "Practice doesn't make perfect, practice makes permanent".

Coach Medcalf was raised in Kansas City, MO and graduated from Rockhurst High School where he played in a football program that won two state championships and he also ran track. He graduated from Central Missouri State University and earned a BS in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and he also played football.

He moved to Las Vegas and began his career in law enforcement, working for the state of Nevada then the city of Las Vegas before recently retiring after 25 years.

Before retiring, he started coaching youth football and has been coaching for over the last 5 years including being the 14U Head Coach and assistant coach with the Jr. Aggies.
