Rens Take home gold in The Under Armour Next Generation Big Shots Tournament at Univ of Md

History

In 2011, founder Sam Sutton saw a need for a program that combined teaching life lessons with basketball development for youth that love the game. The answer was the All Sports Rens, an AAU Basketball Club. The organization focuses on hard work, player development and exposure to elite competition to push our student athletes to the “next level”,  whether that is in college athletics or life.   In 2013 we were proud to field 9 teams which consisted of 100 talented young men and women.

The All Sports Rens are named after the Harlem Rens, who were widely considered "the greatest basketball team that you never heard of".  They were so great, in fact, that in one season, they compiled a record of 112-7. It was a team that won championships all while never being officially accepted, professionally or socially.  The Rens chose to let their on-court actions do the talking. In their nearly three-decade existence, beginning in 1922, the Rens compiled an impressive overall record of 2,588-529.
