We offer league's for children, from 3 to 14 yrs. of age.

Q: How are players selected to a Team?
A1: Players in BlastBall & Shetland are drafted using the "Blind Draft" method.
During the coaches meeting, held by the league commissioner(s), all player registration forms will be turned
upside down.
Coaches will determine drafting order, by drawing numbers. (ie. 1-5, 1-going first and so on)
Registration forms will be chosen, starting with the older age players first, until ALL forms have been picked.

A2: Players in Pinto, Mustang, Bronco, & Pony will have live tryouts if BYBSA deems nessesary:
Players will be informed of the time & date of their leagues Try-Out Day at sign-ups.
Players will be drafted after a LIVE TRYOUT.
(Players trying out, should arrive in proper dress, shoes, and with their equipment)
During tryouts, players will be run through different stations, consisting of, but not limited to:
Hitting, Fielding, Throwing, & Running.
After all players in attendance, have completed the stations, the coaches will determine a draft order and
will pick the player(s), he/she desires to have the opportunity to coach, for that season.

Q. Why and how are the drafting rules different in the Fall?
A. We consider our Fall Ball season instructional in nature and therefore allow unrestricted protection of players (allowing for full teams to be brought in) and blind-drafting in all divisions

Q: What happens if I sign my child up, after the listed registration dates?
A: If it is deemed acceptable, the appropriate league commissioner(s), will assign players to each team, on a first come,
first serve basis. Until, each team is full.

Q: How are the Leagues broken up as far as ages?
A: Our Association is broken into League ages. Each League covers two years of age,
and has slightly different rules, to accommodate the skill level, of players in that league,
and is designated by a league name:
BLASTBALL: T-BALL (ages 3, 4)
Blastball is a rudimentary form of Baseball that focuses solely on instruction. No score is kept.
Coaches and parents are permitted on the field, to instruct, while the game is in progress.
Players should have the opportunity to try various positions. The idea is to help the very young,
learn the basic fundamentals of the game.

SHETLAND: T-BALL (ages 4, 5, 6)
Shetland is a rudimentary form of Baseball, that focuses on instruction, more than competition.

learn the basic fundamentals of the game.

arms are still inaccurate. Players learn the fundamentals of hitting, where to throw the fielded ball,
when to look for the double play, and the basic rules of the game.
