Muddogs Sign Standout SS Danny Cantu!
The Muddogs have secured up the middle with
college experience. Standout shortstop Danny Cantu will be a muddog for
the 09 season. Danny was a All Region/ All Conference shortstop for the
University of Dubuque Spartans. He will provide the power as well as
defense we need for the club! Danny will be a leader on this team, and
we hope he could lead us to the ship!

Muddogs sign standout Johnny Cantu Jr # 3. Johnny & Danny's Cousin "Jorge Cantu # 3" plays for the Florida Marlins.
"Jorge Cantu" was just in the (World Baseball Classic) playing for Team "Mexico". Johnny played 4 years of varsity baseball for the H.S Mather Rangers. He was a All City second baseman and a team captain! Johnny played at the "US Cellular Field"
for the public league all stars. Johnny provides amazing defense for a second baseman, and with his speed at the top of the lineup, the big hitters should have no problem gathering runs for the club.
Muddogs Acquire Anthony English!
Anthony English # 25 Was
Acquired by the Chicago Muddogs for his tremendous defense in CF.
Anthony can run the outfield with the best of them. He was chosen to
participate in the Chicago Public League ALL-Stars game at "US
Cellular Field". Anthony can play 1B, P, or C if we need him to. He is
a great leader and we are proud to have him on our team.
