Our greatest season yet (In the words of Coach Drew)

As President of the Metroplex Youth Athletic Association, Inc., and Commissioner of the Metroplex Youth Football League, it is my duty to serve my constituants to the utmost of my ability. From the rigors of earning 501(c)3 non-profit status years ago, to starting all over in 2008, the MYFL has proven that you can actually charge organizations less than $751.00 registration, and still put on the "Greatest Show on Turf".

For example:

The MYFL hosted it's Super Bowl and Texas Bowl championship games at NO additional cost to our organizations.

At no additional cost to our organizations, these championship games were held at beautiful Forester Field Stadium which is the site of many DISD regular-season and post-season football games.

Team trophies for Super Bowl Champions (32"), Super Bowl Runners-up (25"), and Texas Bowl Champions (20") were provided at no additional cost to our organizations.

Individual trophies for EACH and EVERY child that participated in this league for 2008 were awarded, whether present at the championships or not.

The league spared no expense to provide great individual awards for ALL of our children: Super Bowl Championship (16"), Super Bowl Runners-up (12"), and Texas Bowl champs and runners-up (7").

Speaking of the championship games, the MYFL stepped up it's game by providing a professional football atmosphere with the assistance of professional play-by-play announcer Bobby "The Voice" Mouton who kept the audience crunk from the individual pre-game introductions, to the final end of the game salutations.

In addition, Mia Hoskin was on-point while running the game clock with skill and delicate precision in order to keep the spectators current on the score, the quarter, down and distance, time-outs as well as who had possession of the ball, well done Sis.

Props also go out to "Officer Dre" of the Dallas County Sheriff's department for maintaining a presence so that there would be no temptation of stupidity from an over-excited fandom.

Major thanks to my wife (Mrs. Drew) and my former classmate, Ms. Yolanda Faye Williams, for holding everything together at the front gate, while the excitement was relegated exclusively to the football field where it belongs.

The MYFL once again delivered on ALL promises made to our coaches, parents, and children by being focused on the number one objective which was the product that was being presented on the field, you can't hate that...

In 2008, as fighting continued in the middle-east, ongoing recession-like economic issues almost crippled America, and the fact that so many people would still rather "point fingers" and manipulate, than to "pitch-in" and participate, the MYFL found a way to deliver, you just can't hate that...

With "honest" collaborations with other great youth football leagues in the metroplex, the MYFL once again proved to be a trailblazer in a world cluttered with naysayers and negativity, you just can't hate that...

Once again, we ROSE to great heights which reached above and beyond all other youth football leagues in the area and that's a fact, you just can't hate that...

We were able to rise above all negativity and provide the best possible experience for those who deserve it the most, our children. And at the end of the day like I said before, you just can't hate that...
