Red River Shootout - IFA

This weekend was beyond amazing for all the ladies of the Gametime Stars! Sunday: Six games in a row + Nine hours straight playing + First place = resiliently amazing! The Twisters managed some great hits, and a Grand Slam in the Sunday morning game to put the Stars in the losers bracket. But that didn't stop the ladies of the Gametime Stars. They came right back out of it to respectively take out the Heat, Hotshots, Twisters, and Badside (2Xs) to take the championship. Very nice job ladies! Overall nine games this weekend.
April 26th - Congratulations to Jayden Chestnut on being selected as MVP player in the Championship Game!

The Gametime Stars came down to the final three teams but couldn't quite squeeze a victory from the 96 Arkansas Stars. Short one point 5-4. Some great playing and hitting from all you ladies in that "come from behind" attempt! The saying goes, "You can't win em all!", but by playing those 2nd year teams, it's definitely making us better! Keep working! May Madness Tournament in Moore next weekend!

Kansas City Memorial Day Invitational ASA
Lees Summit, MO
Great tournament and the most success seen by the Gametime Stars ladies this season! Saturday and Sunday, the Stars won 5 out of 6 of their pool games for the #2 seed. The main action really began on Memorial Day in the single elimination bracket. The Stars took down the Blue Springs Bombers, the undefeated Frozen Ropes Fury from Omaha, NE, the Oklahoma Sweetheat and finish first in the championship by defeating the HotStix from Shawnee, KS. Gratz ladies on a spectacular performance! First place in this tournament two years in a row!
May 25th - A special congratulations goes to Jen Marwitz for going the yard with a Homer over a 20 foot high right field fence and laying it 230 feet! The spectators in the ballpark were in absolute "Awe" to see a tremendous shot like that from a young lady!
June 5-7, 2009
8th Annual Boxer Blowout
Chickasha, OK
Straight down the line with wins on the OKC Intimidators, Texarkana Riptide, OKC Hotshots, and Oklahoma Burn. Pressure when the OKC Twisters 96 put us in the losers bracket, but we fought back to the Twisters after defeating the OKC Stixx 96. Good job with 2nd place ladies. But, the bats need to be much more. We need to work hitting into the next gear for Nationals. Let's work it hard and get it back by next week in the ASA Classifier! Get it back to where it was ladies!
June 7th - Congratulations to Tayler Babb on being selected as Defensive MVP by the umpires in the Championship Game!

The Stars went 6 games this weekend for 4th place. After being put into the losers bracket by the Nemesis 96, they dug their way back to face the Showtime 96. Let's aspire by this!
