Garret Mcgurl threw 4 innings - and was tagged for 5 runs (only 1 earned) in the loss at Merritt Island, FL. The bats were silent in the opener - only 4 singles were notched. Connor Wilson went 1-2 with 1 run scored and 2 stolen bases.

Connor Zielinski went 3 - 4 with 3 runs and 3 RBIs and John Lord belted 2 doubles and chipped in 3 RBIs to lead Radnor to the rout over their friends from Ohio. Garrett McGurl and Will Girton each scored 3 runs, and Sean Corelli, Pat McDermott and Pat Scheri all added 2 hits. Sean Corelli earned the win throwing 3 shutout innings. He struck out 4 to earn his 13th varsity win of his career.

Ross Ebersole cleared the bases with a well hit double that contributed to the win for the Raiders while visiting Springfield. Andrew Ciatto knocked two hits. Evan Moore was the winning pitcher with 4 innings and 3 runs allowed.

Garrett McGurl won the league opener for the Red Raiders as he threw a complete game 2-hitter against Springfield to lead the visitors. McGurl notched 12 K's and issued just one walk in the masterpiece. Sean Corelli lead off the top of the 7th with a loud double to left. This broke up a no hit bid by the Springfield starter. Pat McDermott reached on a bunt single, putting runners on the corners. Mike Lanzone followed with an RBI single to right field to give the guests the lead. Will Girton knocked in the other run with a 2 out, bases loaded walk. The run support was all McGurl needed.

Pat Lofton and Ryan Tague performed well on the mound despite the 3 - 4 loss to Penncrest. John Dougherty, Pat Lofton, and Eliott Appleman each had multiple hits. Both Ebersole and Lofton hit doubles.

Sean Corelli took a no hitter into the 4th, but 3 errors led to 3 unearned runs as the Raiders fell to 1-1 in the Central League. Justin DiCarlo threw 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief. Jack Deshan reached base 3 times in his varsity debut. The home team is now 2-2 overall.

Charlie Connolly gave up just 1 unearned run in 6 innings while striking out 9 batters and walking none but Strath Haven pushed across 11 runs in the 8th inning to get the win. Connor Zielinski squeezed in Nick Blake (who tripled) to get the score tied in the 3rd inning. Radnor is now 2-3 overall (1-2 Central League).

With excellence at the plate and on the mound the JV Raiders beat-up on Ridley 17-2. Evan Moore started and notched his 2nd win of the season. At the plate John Dougherty led the way going 2-3...Jack DeShan, Moore and Ross Ebersole each roped doubles. It was a team effort in the RBI category with Eliot Appleman driving in three, and Ebersole, Brad Henkin, Moore, and Adam Thomson all driving in two. It was an all-around great outing.

Justin DiCarlo pitched 3 shutout relief innings and received help from Sean Corelli in the 7th as the home team snapped a 2 game losing streak. DiCarlo relieved a gutty Nick Blake who started on short rest and kept the Green Raiders at bay. John Lord led the offense with a double and a triple. Mike Lanzone also notched 2 hits for the host squad. Will Hoysgaard notched his 1st varsity RBI with a 2 strike double. DiCarlo singled home Connor Zielinski in the 5th. Z ran for Garrett McGurl who hit a long pinch hit double.

Trailing by 1 run in the top of the 7th inning, the Radnor Freshmen launched a 2-out rally scoring 7 runs to beat Lower Merion 13 - 8. Jackson Beers' 2nd hit of the day tied the score up and Justin Borowski's bases loaded double broke the game open. Borowski also threw 3 solid innings in relief of Tommy Jones who pitched well in the first 3 innings. Luke Au pitched the 7th inning to earn the save.

Lower Merion came in to our home turf and out-hit the JV Raiders en route to a 10-2 LM win. The Radnor bats were making hard contact but it seemed everything went right to a LM fielder. Evan Zhang pitched well in relief. The Raiders scattered hits by John Dougherty, Zhang, Brad Henkin, Ryan Tague, Pat Lofton, and Adam Thompson.

Charlie Connolly only gave up 2 runs and 3 hits in 5 innings but the Radnor bats again fell silent as they suffered their first loss to LM in at least 5 years. Sean Corelli went 3 - 4 with a 7th inning RBI double, but a LM reliever got out of a 2nd and 3rd and nobody out jam in the 7th to preserve the victory.

Another slow start by the JV Raiders led to a 14-4 loss at the hands of Garnet Valley. GV jumped out to a 7-0 lead after 1 inning and never looked back. Evan Zang and Pat Lofton each had two hits in the defeat.

Sean Corelli threw a complete game and scored the winning run on John Lord's clutch 2-out RBI double in the bottom of the 6th to lead the hosts to the win over Garnet Valley. Corelli sat down 10 of the last 12 batters he faced. The home team showed its mettle in overcoming 2-0 and 5-3 deficits. Will Girton went 2-3 and scored 2 runs to aid the cause. This was Radnor's 3rd straight 1 run game! Radnor is now at 4-4 and 3-3 in the Central League.

It was a tightly played, freezing-cold affair. It was also a very well pitched game by Pat Lofton. 3-3 through 7 innings. The Raiders were out-hit in the extra frame and fell to Conestoga 11-3. Andrew Boujoukos had a two-rbi single.

Sean Corelli scattered 4 hits in the complete game effort. He struck out 3 and allowed only one unearned run against the first place Pioneers. Connor Wilson went 2-3 with a run scored. John Lord scored an interesting run in the 1st inning - somehow coasting into 1st, 2nd 3rd and home, scoring on a throwing error by the Stoga catcher. Andrew Austen led a terrific outfield defense with 2 fantastic catches, one a diving effort in deep right center field. Radnor is now 5-4, 4-3.
JV: A gallant JV effort still wasn't enough to get the win.

Joe Riley had a two-RBI single and Evan Moore pitched a complete game striking out 9, walking two, and giving up two earned runs. Boujoukos and Moore reached base twice each scoring a run. It just wasn't enough as the Rams took advantage of some Raider miscues and eked out the victory 6-3 at Rowland field.

John Lord went 3-3 with 5 RBIs to lead the offense in this 5 inning game. Pat McDermott went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs. Matt Schaefer went 2-3 with 2 runs scored. Andrew Austen chipped in with 2 RBI's . Garrett McGurl allowed just 1 hit in 3 innings of work. Nick Blake pitched 2 shutout innings. Radnor is now 6-4 overall, 5-3 in the Central League.

Charlie Connolly won his first varsity game with an impressive 6 hit shutout! He struck out 4 and walked 3. The offense was led by John Lord who went 2-4 with a long triple in the first inning. Connor Wilson scored twice to aid the cause, including a first to home scamper on a stolen base and a couple of errors. Andrew Austen again made a couple of outstanding plays to help preserve the shutout. Radnor is now 7-4 overall, 6-3 in the Central League.

The visitors battled back from 3-0, 4-2 and 5-4 deficits but fell in the 8th inning. Connor Wilson scampered home with 2 outs in the 7th inning on a passed ball to force the bonus baseball. Mike Lanzone went 2-3 with 2 runs scored to pace the offense. Sean Corelli added 2 hits. Radnor stole 8 bases on the day but was caught on their last 2 attempts (in the 7th and 8th innings). Justin DiCarlo allowed just 1 hit in 4 1/3 relief innings, but he was tagged with the hard luck loss. Radnor is now 7-5, (6-4 Central League)

Garrett McGurl threw 7 innings and scattered 9 hits to lead Radnor to the road win. McGurl sat down 7 of the last 8 hitters he faced and allowed no walks while striking out 3. He helped his cause with 2 hits and 1 RBI. Connor Wilson added 2 hits and a run scored - and John Lord went 2-4 to help the offense. Radnor is now 8-5, 7-4 Central League.
Varsity: Radnor's 6th game in 8 days is a flat one. 6 errors aid loss.

Lots of fly-outs and not much other noise with the bats doomed the Raiders against Springfield Wednesday afternoon at Creek Field. Evan Moore had a deep double down the third base line and Joe Riley' s RBI single drove him in. That was the extent of the Raiders run-production in the 7-1 loss. Evan Moore got the start, and the loss, going 5 innings with 4 runs allowed. Ryan Tague closed, pitching the final two allowing three. Pat Lofton and Connor Treadway each had a single.

Will Girton went a career high 3-4 with 4 RBIs to pace Radnor to the road win. Martin Connor added a single and a double to pace the offense. Garrett McGurl, Justin Dicarlo and Charlie Connolly split the pitching duties. A few minor injuries marred the game - as did the 35 pickoff moves to 1st base by the UD pitchers.

Sean Corelli earned his team record 17th varsity win, going the distance, as Radnor finished the season in 2nd place in the Central League. Corelli (5-2) scattered 6 hits while striking out 5 and walking just 1. John Lord boomed 2 doubles and had 3 rbi s while Mike Lanzone added a 2-3 day with 3 RBI s. Connor Wilson knocked a ball off the left field fence and scored twice to lead the rout. Radnor plated 4 runs in the home 6th to chase the big Penncrest starter. Radnor is at 11-7, 10-6 Central entering a non league tilt Thursday at Plymouth-Whitemarsh.

Sean Corelli was masterful in winning his 18th Varsity game over the defending AAA state champions, Pope John Paul II. He went 6 2/3 innings scattering 8 hits and only 1 run. Charlie Connolly struck out the PJP cleanup hitter with the bases loaded to earn the save. Mike Lanzone and Will Girton each went 2-3 with an RBI. Garrett McGurl scored 2 runs and stole 4 bases (of the team's 9 steals) to help the cause. The Raiders will play Sun Valley in the AAA semi finals on Thursday the 21st ! Another chapter is coming says Balkie!
