Please note when reading the chart on below that the Flag and 8U (new this Season) are both Instructional Divisions which means the Coaches can/will be on the field with the players instructing them as the game is played.  For 9U and all Teams above they will be All American Division/Competitive Teams and Coaches will be on the sidelines only.

We have been informed that there will not be any 'waivers down a level' as some exceptions have been granted in the past by the State.  The reasoning is when it was age/grade based if the player was in a higher grade but still fell within the age guideline, a waiver could be requested.  As we (and all NH Teams) are now following the National Guidelines and are age structured, you can't give an exception to an age.  If a player turns the 'next age' on or after August 1st, they can NOT be waivered down a level.  All players will be playing with players their age.

Ages can be combined and will play at the max. age level of the team

The NHYFSC (New Hampshire Youth Football Spirit Conference) has adopted the National Division Structure by Age effective with this 2017 Season.

To better help understand why the State has adopted this, the National Level has been using these guidelines for several years.  When any of the NH Teams went to Regionals they were out performed because our NH Teams were always playing kids a full age division above them.  So this will align all players to be playing in their own age groups and be competitive on a 'more level playing field' (no pun intended).  As the years go on and kids play through and age out of the program this aligns them to be at the same playing level as their peers when entering their HS Football Teams.

For many this will not affect or change anything.  But there are some players that are an older age in a younger grade that may be affected and as there have been questions in regards to the changes so we wanted to keep everyone informed.

I hope that helps answer any questions you may have ahead of time !  If you still have additional questions please reach out to GSE
