Our Program
The following will give you a brief overview of our program. The complete program will be described at a mandatory Parent Meeting held during the first Player Evaluation session.
Mission Statement
"To provide an instructional, competitive program for our youth with boys playing at appropriate levels".
The goal of the Tartan Boys Program is to provide competitive play for as many youth as possible. We will have traveling teams for 4-8th grades.

Player Evaluation
The Tartan Coaching staff will evaluate each player in multiple categories during the player evaluation.
MANDATORY Parent Meeting
All parents/guardians are required to attend a meeting during your player’s 1st tryout. Topics will include:
- the evaluation process
- team managers
- volunteer requirements
- player code of conduct and responsibilities
- 2023-2024 schedule & cost
- 2023 Tartan Classic work schedule / expectations
- uniform & equipment policy
- coaches selection
TOURNAMENTS
- For the 2023-2024 season, all teams played in 10 tournaments, including the state tournament.
Coaches
No coach will be selected prior to the tryouts. No team will form if there is not a coach that volunteers. Non-parent coaches will be used for upper level 7th & 8th grade teams.
Practice
Teams will try to practice 2 times per week. Practice times are sometimes difficult since we share gym time with ALL traveling and ALL in-house teams, along with other programs using District resources.
