Pros

Aaron Rowand ('95) is a star with the SF Giants. Click on the link to see the other former Tartans who have played in the Show! Tartans in the MLB




Brian Cooper (92) moves up to the High-A San Jose Giants in 2011 after two years as the pitching coach for the San Fransisco Giants' Class A Northwest League Salem-Keizer Volcanoes. Brian played 12 years of professional baseball including 6 years in the Major Leagues.
Kevin Hansen (2003) played in 67 games for the Lake Elsinore, the San Diego Padre high-A league team in 2010.


Matt Weston (2002) hit an even .300 playing for the Houston Astro affiliate Lancaster JetHawks in the Class A+ league in 2009. He's with Sussex in the CanAm League in 2010.

Bryce Schoening has signed with the Bonn Capitols in the European League for 2011. The 23-year-old had a 5-7 record with an ERA of 2.75 in 14 starts in his first year in Germany. He struck out 82 batters in 114 2/3 innings, while walking 24.



College
GHS had three players in the 2011 Dodgertown Classic this year. Pictured above, Kevin Roundtree(USC) leads off first while Adam Plutko is on the mound and Cody Regis creeps in at third. Glendora also had two alums playing at the 2010 NCAA D1 College World Series, Jarrett Semler with the Oklahoma Sooners and Cody Regis with UCLA.

Jarrett Semler (2006) pitched for the University of Oklahoma. As a junior, he made 13 appearances and allowed a run in just three outings. Oklahoma earned a trip to Omaha for the 2010 College World Series.

Cody Regis (2009) is a sophomore at UCLA. Regis had a freshman season to remember, tying for the team lead with nine home runs and posting a .312 batting average...earned honorable mention All-Pac-10 Team acclaim in addition to securing All-Tournament Team honors at both the College World Series and the NCAA Los Angeles Regional.

Kevin Roundtree ('08) made 47 starts in 50 games as a sophomore for the Trojans,batting .288 (46-for-160) with eight doubles, one home run, three stolen bases and 23 RBI...threw out 22 of 69 baserunners (31.9%. Kevin earned All-Pac-10 Conference honorable mention recognition. He will be a junior at the University of Southern California
