Program Objectives and Core Values

The purpose of the Whiteland Warrior Junior Basketball Leauge shall be the promotion of the game of basketball for youth in the Clark-Pleasant School Corporation within an environment that upholds the ideas of sportsmanship, scholarship and physical fitness.

The following core values are the cornerstone of the Whiteland basketball program and will be emphasized to players during their involvement with the Whiteland Warrior Junior Basketball League:

Commitment
Commitment means dedicating yourself to make you and your team better. Our commitment will prevent us from surrendering when we are faced with adversity.

Consistency
Consistency requires you to know your role and to fulfill that role during practices and in games. We need to be able to count on our scorers, rebounders, defenders, and ball handlers regardless of the circumstance.

Discipline
We will do the right thing, at the right time, and to the very best of our ability. We must pay attention to detail, concentrating on what is fundamentally important.

Enthusiasm
Great accomplishments can be achieved when people are excited about going to work. Enthusiasm is contagious! A lack of enthusiasm will always prevent us from giving our best effort.

Intensity
Playing with intensity on both ends of the floor is our trademark. Going after loose balls, setting up your cuts, running the floor every possession, talking and being in a stance on defense is a requirement, not a choice.

Unity
In order to reach a common goal, each individual will put the team first. Our unity will allow us to reach goals that are unattainable when working alone.

Pride
Pride is an attitude that separates excellence from mediocrity. Pride prevents you from giving any less than your best effort every time you step onto the court. You need to understand that putting on a Warrior jersey is a privilege and not a right
