Travel
In addition to the Intramural and Interleague programs, the Bay Shore Soccer Club also fields competitive travel soccer teams. These teams play under the rules and regulations of the Long Island Junior Soccer League. Our travel program consists of 15 teams entered in the U-10 through U-19 age brackets. Although small in numbers, Bay Shore's boys and girls teams have experienced success in both the State and Waldbaums' Cups as well as fielding Division 1 and 2 teams.
Travel teams are encouraged to maximize their travel experience by participating in tournaments for the competition as well as the chance to meet new teams and observe their tactics and skills.
Although competition is keen and fostering the development of individual player skills is stressed, the concept of sportsmanship is still of prime importance to the members of the Board and the club. Similar to our goals for the intramural program, teaching individual skills, meeting new people and having fun, fostering the love of the game of soccer is still the ultimate goal for our travel program.
