Well, Im glad you asked.

 

The Cardinal Cup was first established halfway through the 2007 season when we wanted to motivate our lazy players to play harder. Each game, there are 30 points to be had; 15 for the 1st star, 10 for the 2nd & 5 for the 3rd star. The 3 stars are decided at the end of each game by the team. The winner at the end of the year gets:

a) his name engraved on the coveted Cardinal Cup
b) a case of his (or maybe one day her) most favorite beverage
c) respect from his (or her) peers

The only catch is that you must return the following season and drink post-game beers from the Cup. Each year the Cup will be passed on to the new winner.
