MANAGER’S RESPONSIBILITIES
1) TO ATTEND MEETINGS --- Periodic Manager meetings for each division will be held during the season at which attendance is mandatory for all managers within the league having the meeting. Also, managers and coaches are encouraged to attend the General CFBLL Board meetings, which are held the 2nd Tuesday of every month except in August and December. Meeting time is generally at 7:00 PM at the IHOP on Old Denton Road.
2) TO FOLLOW THE CFBLL CODE OF ETHICS.
3) TO FOLLOW ALL GAME RULES AND REGULATIONS --- All Managers are required to read the Official Williamsport Little League Rule Book ("Green Book"), to know and follow its rules, and to know and follow any addendums specific to CFBLL as outlined in the Local Ground Rules.
4) TO REPORT ALL INJURIES --- All injuries and/or accidents during games or practices must be reported to the Safety Officer within 24 hours. Injuries, which may seem minor at the time, may develop into something major. Play it safe and report the incident.
5) TO HAVE THE TEAM AT THE FIELD ON TIME - Coaches and players are expected at the field for a game at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time, rain or shine. The CFBLL RAIN OUT procedure is to be followed. Please note, once the umpire reports to the field, and the game begins it is up to his discretion as to whether the game will continue to be played. To stop play completely is a decision made by a Broad Member On Duty (BMOD). If a hard rain cancels the entire day's games, this will be posted on the website.
6) TO PREPARE FOR GAMES ---
HOME TEAM: Prepare field for play. Make chalk batters box and foul lines, if necessary, however lines from the previous game may be sufficient. CFBLL will provide two new game balls to the umpire prior to the start of the game and will be issued to coaches by the BMOD for game use only.
BOTH TEAMS: Complete line-up card with starting pitcher's name circled, and present to home plate umpire and manager of the opposing team. A log of pitchers availability per the Pitching Eligibility Form is required before each/every game begins.
7) TO WEAR PROPER ATTIRE AT ALL GAMES --- No uniforms are allowed for coaches. Team shirts and caps are recommended.
8) FOR THE BEHAVIOR OF --- themselves, their players, parents, fans and coaches as it relates to their interface with umpires during a game.
9) TO REPORT SCORES --- The Home Team will report scores via the website. The Home Team is responsible for keeping the League Official Scorebook of the game.
10) TO PROPERLY CLEAN DUGOUT TO PREPARE FOR NEXT GAME --- Be sure all your player's belongings are accounted for, and with their help, pick up the area, throw all trash in the trashcans. Parents waiting for players after a game should be asked to help with this task. Last game of the night; VISITOR TEAM put bases in shed.
11) TO KEEP PLAYERS IN THE DUGOUT DURING A GAME --- Players are to leave the dugouts only to visit the bathroom and to play the game. Players should be reminded to visit the bathroom prior to the game to help eliminate visits during the game. No visits to the refreshment stand are allowed. Players and/or coaches should supply their own water. Players outside of dugouts are subject to injury from hit or thrown balls. In addition, family or friends are not allowed to visit players on the field or in the dugout. Keep all equipment behind fence and in an orderly fashion to avoid injury.
12) ON RESCHEDULE GAMES --- The Chief Information Officer will coordinate the make-up date/time for all rescheduled/cancelled games. It is the responsibility of the Home Manager of the rained-out game to contact the Manager of the Visitor Team to ensure the reschedule game is OK.
13) TO RETURN EQUIPMENT --- All equipment must be returned as soon as possible after the season to the Equipment Director at Thomas Field shed. Returned equipment bags should have a piece of masking tape attached with the coaches name and phone number written on the masking tape so that CFBLL will be able to verify who returned equipment bags.
