To All GBHS Baseball Parents and Players,
The estimates to purchase and install the proposed scoreboard thus far have far exceeded the budget for the project. We are are presently working on ways to lower the cost of the project by locating major sponsorships, and donations of project materials and labor by local contractors.
Another alternative we are looking into is possibly reducing the size of the new scoreboard and retrofitting the existing scoreboard. Initial conversations with the RJUHSD are indicating that the current scoreboard was not installed under DSA guidelines and will most likely have to upgraded to DSA codes if any replacement of scoreboard signage is made.
The Board this past week turned in a request to the district to allow us to put metal roofing over the dugouts on the JV field. It will be brought before the RJUHSD Board at their next board meeting for review and hopefully their acceptance.
