Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost to register and what does it include?

The cost of signing up with the Indians varies.  The price is dependent upon when you sign up, and for football, what weight class you qualify for.  Signing up earlier in the season guarantees a deeper discount.  Complete fees and discount information can be found on this website.  Football players will receive the following equipment: shoulder pads, helmet, hip/thigh/knee pads, mouthpiece, game uniforms and practice uniforms.  Weighted football players are responsible for providing their own football cleats, and any additional padding.  Cheerleaders receive game uniforms and pom-poms.  Flag football players receive game and practice uniforms.  Players are allowed to keep their practice jerseys.

When does the season start and how long does it last?

We are allowed to officially begin our season on August 1st.  During the month of August, we hold our training camp which is used to get our athletes in shape for the regular season.  The season typically begins the first or second week in September and lasts through the first or second week in November.  Playoffs and post season tournaments can extend the season several weeks.

When are practices held and how long do they last?

During our August training camp, practices are held Monday thru Thursday from 6 PM – 8 PM at Heuser Park.  Once school starts, practices are held on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6PM – 8 PM at Heuser Park.

When/where are games held, and who do we play against?

The King of Prussia Indians are members of the Keystone State League.  Our games are held against other members of the KSL and are usually played on Saturdays.  Home games are played at Heuser Park, and away games are played at the home of our opponent.  More information regarding the KSL, including information about the other organizations in the KSL can be found at http://www.leaguelineup.com/ksl.

Who are the coaches and how are they selected?

The coaches of the Indians are members of the community who have agreed to volunteer their time for the organization.  Our coaches are carefully selected and have previous experience coaching football and other youth sports.  Our coaches can often be seen in and about the King of Prussia area.  Each of our coaches and staff members are required to undergo a Pennsylvania state background check, and each of the head coaches are required to complete a coaching clinic sponsored by USA football.

How can I help the organization?

The King of Prussia Indians is operated on a 100% volunteer basis.  We currently have openings on the board of directors, and you can always volunteer during the season.  During the season, there are always opportunities to be a team mom or dad, work in the TAC house, announce a football game, or volunteer to work the chains during the games.
