Summer Sports League Announced!
June 19, 2008 --
The Town of Lewiston Recreation Department would like to announce the following:
·Three-on-Three Basketball League. The Town of Lewiston will be offering a 3-on-3 Basketball League as part of our Town of Lewiston Daytime Summer Programs. Registration will be accepted in three divisions, 14 & under, 12 & under, and 10 & under. Game days are on Tuesdays and Fridays between 10am and 4PM with home games played at the teams’ representative Park (Kiwanis, Colonial Village, Sanborn Parks). League is scheduled for six weeks starting July 8. Program is free for Town of Lewiston and Town of Porter Residents. All outside residents must pay an out-of-town rate of $40. Registration forms are available in the handouts section.
·Flag Football Passing League. The Town of Lewiston will be offering a 6-on-6 Flag Football Passing League as part of our Town of Lewiston Daytime Summer Programs. Registration will be accepted in three divisions, 14 & under, 12 & under, and 10 & under. Game days are on Mondays and Thursdays mornings between 930AM and 12PM with home games played at the teams’ representative Park (Kiwanis, Colonial Village, Sanborn Parks, Pletcher Road). League is scheduled for six weeks starting July 7. Program is free for Town of Lewiston and Town of Porter Residents. All outside residents must pay an out-of-town rate of $40. ·Floor Hockey. The Town of Lewiston will be offering a 5-on-5 Non-Contact Outdoor Deck Hockey League as part of our Town of Lewiston Daytime Summer Programs. Registration will be accepted in three divisions, 14 & under, 12 & under, and 10 & under. Game days are on Monday and Thursday Afternoons with home games played at the teams’ representative Park (Kiwanis, Colonial Village, Sanborn Parks). League is scheduled for six weeks starting July 8. Program is free for Town of Lewiston and Town of Porter Residents. All outside residents must pay an out-of-town rate of $40. Registration forms are available in the handouts section.
·Fall Baseball & Softball. Lewiston & Porter Youth Athletics will be offering a Fall Baseball & Softball League beginning in late August of 2008. Boys wishing to extend the baseball season into the Fall can sign up in the 10 and under, 12 and under, and 15 and under age divisions. Registration is limited to 40 participants per division. This program is $20 for all residents of Lewiston and Porter, and $45 for outside residents. Girls wishing to extend their softball season can sign up in the 10 and under, 12 and under, and 14 and under divisions. Registration is limited to 40 players per division.
