ABOUT US
The Loch Raven Cubs are an adult (18+) baseball team based in the general Loch Raven / Parkville, Maryland area....however in 2007 we moved our home field to CCBC-Dundalk.
We participate in the Baltimore Baseball League (BBL), which is widely considered to be one of the premier adult baseball leagues in our state.
Player ages vary from 18 to 50+ however the average age for our league is about 25-30.
Player talent varies as well....from High School Varsity to ex-pro, however the average talent level is around low-level college or Division II, Division III.
The Baltimore Baseball League features an experienced and dedicated league office, as well as some of the top playing talent our region has to offer.
Our games are highly competitive, however a fun atmosphere is still maintained.
Our season runs from April to August and consists of an approximate 30-40 game regular season schedule.
Beginning in 2006, the Baltimore Baseball League switched to an all wood bat format, which made for closer, quicker, safer, and more strategic games.
We actively seek college-level (and above) type talent on a regular basis.
This does not mean that you had to have played college baseball, however your skill level should be somewhere near this in order to compete in our league succesfully.
We begin indoor workouts in early February, and outdoor practices in early March in order to prepare for the season.
We have also participated in the Gunpowder Fall Baseball League (GFBL) in the past, which takes place in September and October at Harford Community College in Harford County, Maryland.

The Loch Raven Cubs baseball team has been in existence since the early 1990's, while participating in the MABL, BBL, and GFBL.
The club won the 2007 Baltimore Baseball League Championship on Saturday, August 18, 2007.
