What Do We Want Our Athletes To Lean?
We want our players to learn respect, accountability and work ethic. We help them develop respect by how they treat their coaches, their teammates, their competitors and the officials. We will not tolerate showboating, vulgarity, or violence of any type.

Each player has a role to play and a responsibility to their team. If they uphold that responsibility, then they have earned our respect. If they do not, they are held accountable for those actions. We want them to see that the world has natural consequences to actions, both positive and negative. As players work hard, they will see the results of their efforts. Such work ethic will follow them throughout their lives.

What Role Do The Parents Play?
Parents are vital in the growth and development of a player and the success of our team. We try to involve the parents throughout the entire season. We have a pre-season meeting where all parents must understand the rules of the teams and the program. Parental help improves the chances that their kids uphold the expectations, making the program a success. Parents must also show good sportsmanship and respect to the coaches, players and officials.

What Role Do Academics Play In Our Program

Athletes are students first. We encourage all players to stay in school, complete their assignments and apply the same lessons of self-discipline and work ethic to their studies as they do on the court. If we discover that one of our players has been cutting class, missing assignments or failing classes, we will work with that player and his/her parents to remedy the situation. Academics must come first.

How Do We Define "Sportsmanship"?
Many times, people think of "good sportsmanship" simply as being able to lose a game with dignity, and doing the "two, four, six, eight, who do we appreciate" cheer. But there is a lot more.

We want our kids to show respect and be polite to everyone, including their teammates, coaches, officials and opposing players. We teach our players that they should never talk negatively, tease or name call at the opposing players or coaches. If a play or game doesn't go the player's way, they should never shout things such as, "no fair" or "you cheated."

Basketball is supposed to be fun for everyone. We want our teams to exemplify the spirit of the game and make it a very enjoyable experience for all.
