    History
This is a short history of the team so far.

The L. Luna Construction Baseball Team was formed with a core of players who have previously played together through the Fall of 2002 in Tijuana as Los Jerezanos and Plateados. Their run included winning a championship in 2000.

In the Spring of 2003, the core players re-teamed in the San Diego Adult Baseball League, as part of the 29A Division South Coast Padres Baseball team. They went on to finish 5th in the 2003 29A Spring season, and lost in the first round of the playoffs.

As the 2003 Fall season drew near, a majority of of the South Coast Padres left the team, and it was eventually disbanded. In it's place a new team the L. Luna Construction Baseball Club was officially created on August 27, 2003 as a member of the San Diego Adult Baseball League's new 28A Division.

The team had a successful debut on September 7, 2003 defeating the Lugnuts, 9-7 at Dana Center Field.

The Jalapenos finished the regular season at 7-4, placing second in the 2003 SDABL Fall American Division. A difficult season that had it's highs and lows. The fires that raged on pushed the season back until the end of November.

By finishing second, they qualified for the eight team playoff. They defeated the Fighting Hellfish 12-9 at San Diego High School to advance to the Division Final against the Saturn Ions. Losing 7-4 at Barona to conclude their first SDBAL season.

    Updated 08.19.04

The Jalapenos were placed in a very difficult National Division for the Spring of 2004. For a while it looked like the season would never get off the ground as the opening game was rained out twice. Eventually the season got underway with a blowout by the champions to be Tigers at Barona. On the positive side, in early March it was announced that the Jalapenos had secured the beautiful Otay Ranch Varsity Baseball Field as their new home field. The Jalapenos won their home opener there on March 21st.

They struggled early in the season starting off with a 1-3 record, before winning 6 in a row, including a nail bitter against the Orioles on Mothers Day. They split the last 7 games, winning 4 (including a bottom of the 9th comeback against Players Sports Bar), losing 2, and tying one with the eventual division champion California Rebels. With a win in the final regular game of the season over the Tigers, the Jalapenos helped hand the Rebels the 2004 American Division Championship.

With an 11-5-1 record, the Jalapenos finished 4th in the American Division, tied with Players Sports Bar. For the playoffs they were seeded 5th, and scheduled to play the Tigers for the third time this season. A tough game that ended with a Jalapenos loss 15-5 to the eventual 2004 Spring 28A champion Tigers.

The 2004 Fall Season is scheduled to kick off on September 12, 2004.

    Updated 12.23.04

The Jalapenos in their 3rd season in the SDABL finished on top of the 12 team 28A Division with a 9-1 record. This included 9 straight regular season wins and one playoff victory and four come from behind victories.

They defeated the Classic Cards in the opening round of the playoffs before falling to the Fighting Hellfish, the next week 8-5.
