    2009 PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
    Week of May 4th
    JOHN KRAUSE
The Generals played 2 key league games against Oceanside this week, and made up a game against Syosset. John capped the Generals 3 run 7th inning rally in the first Oceanside game, driving in the tying run. The game remained tied, but this was an important game for Mac Arthur as it kept Oceanside 2 games back in the standings. John took the mound against Syosset in the weeks final game, and threw 5 strong innings to win his 5th game of the year without a loss. He also led the way with the bat, going 3 for 4 at the plate, scoring 2 runs, and driving in 1.

    Week of April 27th
    ALEX ANGUS
Alex has been the Generals' leading hitter for batting average for most of the year, and this week he continued his torrid hitting. He was 4 for 9 in the 2 games this week, and drove in 4 runs in Mac Arthur's 10 to 3 win over Syosset. Alex also had 12 assists in the 2 games, and added 2 stolen bases and 2 runs scored.

    Week of April 20th
    ANDREW MEGE
The Generals played in the Northeast Elite Baseball Tournament in Clarkstown, NY, and Andrew pitched on Sunday against one of New York City's top teams, James Madison. Andrew pitched a no-hitter, mowing down Madison's lineup inning after inning. This was a dominant performance, as only one ball made it to the outfield. Andrew struck out 8 and walked 2, in throwing Mac Arthur's first no-hitter in 2 years.

    Week of April 13th
    ANTHONY MAZZELLA
Anthony was red hot during the series sweep of Hicksville, going 7 for 8, driving in 9 runs, scoring 5 runs, and hitting 3 doubles and 2 home runs. The most impressive hit of his offensive barrage was a 400 foot home run to dead center field during Tuesday's home game. Anthony also played excellent defense in the series, handling 17 chances without an error.

    Week of April 6th
    FRANKIE VANDERKA
The Generals only played 1 game this week, due to bad weather and the holidays, but it was a key league victory over Massapequa. Frankie had 2 hits and 3 RBI's, while earning a save on the mound. He entered a bases loaded jam with 2 outs in the 5th inning and the Generals clinging to a 2 run lead. He promptly recorded a strikeout to end the inning, and then pitched a perfect 6th inning.

    Week of March 31st
