George Forester Scholarship
The Forester Scholarship was established in 2001 in memory of George (Tiny) Forester and is supported by the Forester family.
The announcement of this award is made at the annual awards banquet in June. The Scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior, female softball player from the Seaholm High School "Maples" team who will be attending a college or university in the fall of their graduating year. The decision as to who will be the recipiant of the award is made by the coaches and the Athletic Director and their decision in this matter is final.
In the fall of the student's graduating year a check in the amount of $1,000.00 will be presented to the college or university that the graduating senior will attend.
This scholarship is awarded to a student athlete who most represented those things that George Forester believed while participating in athletics:
Sportmanship
Integrity
Spirit
Leadership
Attendance
A positive attitude
Respect for all team members and coaches
