Maricopa Little League provides all of their volunteer umpires with a shirt, hat, indicator and a rule book. You will also receive a hot dog or hamburger and a soda for each game umpired. Plus you get the satisfaction of knowing that you are giving back to the children of our community!

Rule Myths

An infield fly rule is when there is a runner on first and second or bases loaded with less that two outs. The batter hits a fly ball in the infield that can be caught with normal effort by an infielder. The batter is out and the base runners may advance at their own risk after the ball touches an infielder or the ground.
