LEAGUE MISSION STATEMENT
The NOSPBL is an independent semi-professional baseball league centered in Cleveland, Ohio and surrounding cities. Our schedule will include 20-25 games through the summer, spread out in a fashion that allows our teams to seek out non-league competition from other surrounding associations. The NOSPBL is formed on the basis that more attention, care, and time should be put into the strongest division in amateur baseball; the 18+ division. The 18+ division is the only division operating in the NOSPBL. Semi-Professional baseball is defined as baseball with colligate and current or ex-professionals playing together. Our stride to provide a guaranteed quality of our league will be insured through the thoughts and input of our managers, as EVERY team will have a representative on the board to make league decisions. A mid season All-Star game against the All-stars from the Akron RH league will showcase the areas top talent and boost the allure of semi-pro baseball's fan base! Our National Affiliation will be through the National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF) and Buckeye Baseball 18+ (BB18+) respectively, allowing us to send our top squads off to post season play at state and regional levels, as well as World Series play. Players can flourish in the NOSPBL along with teams, in that players and managers will all be awarded weekly and yearly honors for outstanding achievements and on-field performance. As we harbor some of college baseball’s top tier talent, we will also allow our athletes to excel as men on and off the field as they learn respect through the great game of baseball.
The NOSPBL will stride to be the finest league with a premier grade of competition and level of respect from other leagues because of the numerous factors that will work only in favor of the Northern Ohio Semi-Pro Baseball League.
