NYC METS TO HAVE NEW MANAGER IN 2010
The NYC Mets are pleased to announce that Jason Rue will manage the team for the 2010 season.
After a season which saw a talented team decimated by injuries and a bunch of talented players underachieve by their standards has led team management to believe that a new voice needs to be at the helm.
Rue has been a part of the NYC Mets organization since 2004 when he won both the 2004 Pitcher of the Year Award and the 2004 Stolen Base King Award in the RBi League.
His past coaching experience ranges from youth leagues, high school baseball and adult baseball.
The NYC Mets sincerely thank Ron Gilchrist for his service to the team over the 2008 and 2009 seasons and wish him well in all future endeavors.
With their new manager in place, NYC Mets GM Ralph Medina and Rue will work together to rebuild the team to contenders.
